Inspired by the success of the MBBRL football league, we are branching out to start a baseball version. The concept is simple. The league itself will be just like any other, but the important details (weekly standings, draft results, trades and key pick-ups) will be published on the message board for all to see. There is no money at stake here, but the competition level of the football league was as good as (or better than) any money league I have taken part in.
So far, we have a core group of 9 owners from the football league including:

We need a few more owners to take part this year and league format will be voted on once we establish our ownership group. If you think you have what it takes, then private message me on this thread. We are looking for applicants who are active on the fantasy baseball message boards and who will bring their "A game" in league play.
For those worried about juggling multiple leagues, we will almost assuredly go with weekly line-ups to minimize the time committment. Hit me up if interested. It will be worth your time.

In addition to receiving league information, this thread will also serve as a forum for discussing all items fantasy baseball relevant. Anybody is welcome to post questions on here whether you are in the league or not.
A nice remedy for a tough end to a football season for me... thinking about baseball!

...? Also, I'm kind of big on having the DH spot (if we have one) to have to be an actual DH (whether it's 10 games served at the position last year or having to serve 10 games of the current season before being eligible for the position...and I guess that can go for any position) ...
again, just putting it out there, wondering how others feel ...
it's gonna be a long two months for me, as the Bills have left me without intensity for the upcoming playoffs... I guess my only happiness will come from Decker costing the Broncos a SB. (those in the football MBBRL will understand)
Once we get everyone together, we will vote on format and settings. Regardless of what format we choose, I am interested in adding some extra hitting spots. I can't stand the CBS default league type for head to head where you only start 9 hitters. There are too many standout options on the free agent list in leagues that shallow.
Although he has not made it official yet, Reverend Jim will likely be joining the group too. We will reserve a spot for him bringing the member count up to 10.
I hate to start a thread and run, but I will be out of town for the next couple days and will not have time to get online.
A couple people have been nominated as potential owners. Chef99 and Philabuster5 both have a strong presence on these boards and I think would be great owners. If anyone has an issue with either of these guys, please PM me over the next couple days. If everyone is okay with them, I will be sending out formal invites once I get back in town.
