Add in how awful the big ten is and now you have 6 reasons. Outside of your suckeyes, the big ten is 1 and 9 in the rose and 2 and 11 in Bcs games. Add in 1 winning bowl season since 2001. All it will take is a crappy California or Purdue to be just an inkling better and the slow average boring sukeye football dynasty will come to an end. Or the at least get the classic sec bowl beat down. Good luck and stay douchie.

I am as avid a Buckeye fan as there is.  I would never go so far as to say the "D" word this early in a coaches career.  On the other hand, one has to admit, on paper, this offense looks really scary, even at an SEC level.  The defense lost a lot, a whole lot.  I know there is young talent, highly regarded and highly recruited, but that means nothing until they show it on the field.  All in all though, even an unbiased fan would have to admit the future looks good for now.  As for next years schedule.  No less than last year, but certainly far from a murderers row.

As far as their schedule goes, keep in mind they have Northwestern and Michigan on the road next year too.  Not to mention California, who I only mention due to the fact they were a much better team when the schedule was made with them.  Also, keep in mind in 2014 they play Navy, V Tech, and Cincinnati.  That is not an easy schedule.  With V Tech and Northern Illinois on the schedule for 2015.

And OSU's worst team in a decade almost beat Michigan in Ann Arbor the year before. Pretty sure that win was supposed to launch a new era in Michigan dominance. At least that is what I was told by several Michigan fans about this time last year.

We actually have  QB now that can throw with a 5 star pro style QB coming in next year.  Denard was a great player but he limited the offense too much.  Both teams are loading up on top recruits and will be ranked in the Top 10 in the presewason polls.   I think the diffference next year will be it's in AA and Michigan will pull out the win.

Urban hasn't really been at any one school long enough for people to assume he's capable of a dynasty.  Compare his record at Florida to Sabans at "bama & I'm of the opinion if either of these two is building a dynasty, it's Saban. 

Bigred,  wiki Urban and see his sucess at Bowling Green and Utah. Its more impressive than at FLorida, trust me.   The dudes record is amazing and unprecedented.  Urban has chosen to not stay at schools because he always had his eyes on bigger prize.   And now with being back in his home state and his kids seee their grandparents daily, a dynasty is in the works.

I don't typically quote Buckshave, but he is right about Meyer and the BBD.  Being home, being with his family, I think OSU is the BBD and he won't have a wandering eye.  Could he start a dynasty up here?  Sure, but he has a ways to go before he matches what Tress accomplished, and few would call those years a dynasty.  Winning the B1G every year is not dynastic, its winning it all, and thats not something that is easily accomplished.<br /><br /><br />I'm rooting for the Bucks (Wifey's school) No hate here.

That QB who can throw gashed the Buckeyes for 171 yards passing when they played.  75 yards came on a play where the safety shaded the wrong WR and the ball went 20 yds to the wide open WR who made the same trailing safety miss and ran the rest of the 55.  That QB who can throw led Michigan to 39 total yards in the second half.  Of course I've been told that had nothing to do with Michigan's execution or the OSU defense, merely the Michigan OCs poor playcalling, but the stats don't lie.  Gardner can improve, but as he does, the book on him will get longer and easier to read.

And unless Meyer goes a bit nuts and turns the defense upside down and inside out, the pro-style offense doesn't exactly strike fear into Buckeye fans.  Other than the occasional Wisconsin team or the before-the-sanctions USC, OSU typically has great success against prostyle outfits.  And again, even if Michigan gets better, there is absolutely zero reason to think OSU won't.

Careful WellFed,  your going to get accused of living in a dream world with that type of analysis.

buckshave7--Im well aware of his "records" at Utah & BG.  Yet Florida is the only school he has so far been at long enough to even begin to think about dynasty.  Bottom line he couldn't handle the pressure (rebuilding) & his health failed.  If you truly believe that he won't fold once he has a strong rebuilding year at OSU as well, I think you are gravely mistaken.

So wait. You NOW have a QB who your staff thought was better at WR last year now being mentioned as better than Denard, while the NFL thinks Denard is now better at WR...  I think most people would question what your coaching staff was thinking... 

So a 5 star pro style QB is gonna contribute right away, good luck with that. Our entire secondary is back and will pick him apart.
