Hogs lost to Pacific today 4-3. Hogs went 0-4 at the Coca-Cola Classic in Arizona.

What's up with that?  Were they treating the tournament as a series of staff days?

Still beginning of the season.  I'm still sure the Hogs are better than they played.

South Carolina got wiped by Kentucky in 2012 in March and went 1-3 with Florida starting the year off 1-5 in the SEC.

LSU defeats Stephen F. Austin 9 to 2 to run record to 11-1.  Tigers have been getting outstanding pitching and tonight was no different.  LSU bats remain hot as the Tigers pick up 11 hits.  So far so good for the Tigers this year.

In the midweek game Texas(7-5) beat TE-Pan American 6-1. Brooks Marlow who had 2 HRs in his first college game last season got the first Longhorn homer this season. BTW those 2 homers last season were the only ones he had. Texas got outhit 9-5, but had no errors while UT-PA had 4.

At 4pm yesterday, it was 68 degrees and sunny, by 5 when the game was supposed to start it was 63 and raining heavily (make up your mind, weather). The game started after about an hour delay, and Ggeorgia promptly gave up 5 runs. Ended up losing another one, 12-7 this time.

I know he has been busy lately, but I have seen him post on NGS this week.  I am sure he will get over it...LOL.

Heels start conference play this weekend with a trip to Wake Forrest starting Friday.  Should start learning more about our teams as conference play starts.

Interesting read on MLB drafting these days and the complications of trying to figure out where to send your slot money.  With the new rules, I can't help but think the college game is going to get even better.

Arkansas broke their 4 game losing streak with a 2-0 win over San Diego St. yesterday. Still leaving too many runners stranded.

Been busy at work.  Miami bounced back to take their two midweek games from Maine and UCF.  Tonight they start confeence play at home vs. Duke.

LSU defeats Washington 9 to 4 to run their record to 13-1.  Aaron Nola gets the win and Raph Rhymes get three hits and the Tigers finish with 13 hits.  The Tiger bats are hot and with the good pitching are playing pretty good baseball right now.  We will see how it holds up when they begin conference play.

Vandy is going to be tough... I'm glad USC plays them toward the end of the regular season.  Hopefully we will get over our injury bug and take advantage of them coming to Columbia, SC to play.

UNC leads WF 9-0, all-american Moran has 2 homers, Holberton has 2 homers, freshman Skye Bolt goes yard again, Heels have hit 6 homers in this game and is now 11-0 as I write this and starting to look like the offense I thought we might have this year, looks like we are heading to a 14-0 record for the year.
