Yeah...kinda like A&M moving to the SEC wasn't going to mean more money for them either...and if you didn't believe it just ask all the Longhorn fans who reminded us daily:

Spin much, Lambert?  The article said that the B12 is the 5th in total revenue,  behind the three who are IN as power leagues, as well as the one that the B12 is battling to be the 4th.   Take your Luck blinders off for just a second and look around.  The B12 is doing EXACTLY what you dissed the BE for doing,  sitting back while others are making moves.

Reading is fundamental Dad. Look at the title of the thread. It says richest PER SCHOOL. The ACC makes more total money because they have more schools.

UHHHH, yes math IS a good thing, $26 million a team, BOTH ways, WOW.  Of course, WVU only gets a piece of that $26 million, after paying off the B12, the smaller cut to begin with, AND all the money paid to fired coaches.  PLUS, that take from that GREAT B12 bowl where our genius coach got schooled by a (gulp) BE coach in a baseball park!!!

YOU guys said that we were too good for the BE, that Stewart was no good because WVU never outright won the league under him,  YET Holgorsen did not either, and Fraud did ONCE.   I heard all these great things about the B12, and have YET to see any of them happen. Even heard excuses about the travel causing losses from one of the bunch who is all for the Luck agenda.

A new Big East primary TV rights deal might be worth only $60 million-$80 million per year, multiple sources have told CBSSpports.com.

It is believed that the league went into negotiations estimating its rights' worth as significantly higher than $100 million per year.

It is no secret that the league's existence might hinge on that value of that TV deal. It is known that Houston has a provision in its pending deal with the Big East that it can get out of its agreement without penalty if certain revenue projections aren't achieved. Each incoming Big East member has negotiated its own deal regarding conference withdrawl, sources told CBSSports.com

For example, Boise State can reduce its buyout to leave the Big East if there is a drop of 25 percent in current aggregate total revenue. Also, Boise State can have that fee reduced if less than 70 percent of the new TV contract goes to football. Houston, San Diego State, Boise State and SMU, among others, enter the Big East on July 1. Commissioner Mike Aresco said TV negotiations are ongoing and put no date on their completion.

The league recently moved quickly to add Tulane and East Carolina after losing Rutgers and Louisville. That gives the league 15 football-playing schools when Navy joins in 2015. Using the figures described above, that would mean the average payout per school of $4 million-$5.3 million per year.

Under its current deal, Big East schools are earning $4 million per year in primary rights fees. In comparison, the Pac-12 is splitting approximately $250 million per year among its 12 institutions.

Aresco said Thursday there are “six media companies” that want to deal with the Big East. Some of those are easily identifiable -- ESPN, Fox, Turner -- but one source close to the situation said an emerging technology company like Google could be involved.

Boise State, San Diego State and BYU reportedly have contacted the Mountain West in the event the Big East becomes unstable. BCS commissioners have established the “framework” for revenue distribution in the new playoff era beginning in 2014. That year the Big East will be among the so-called Group of Five -- along with the MAC, Conference USA, Mountain West and Sun Belt -- that will compete for an automatic spot among the available playoff bowl slots.

CBSSports.com reported earlier that Big East members were told by former commissioner John Marinatto that a new contract would be worth $10 million-$20 million more (per year per school) than what the Big East is currently getting. That was before instability and defections affected the conference.

I may not be a rocket scientist, but even with exit fees to the BE... buyout of loser coaches... expenses for travel... it looks like WVU is making easy money in the Big 12.

To think there are some WVU fans who boo-who the Big 12 move... who wish WVU had remained in the BE... you gotta question them... why?

BB, everyone knows the BE was not going to be our long term home,  MY question is not moving from the BE, it is with when and where we moved.  You yourself were saying that travel caused losses this year.  I think that with another year or two of patience, an invite to the SEC would come.  There are some coaches in the SEC who were actively wanting WVU, and had Mizzou not gone when they did, WVU was next in line.

I would like to hear from fans of WVU who preferred WVU stay in the BE, to tell me how our school would be better off in the BE today.  The forces that controlled SEC expansion in 2011 have not changed.  According to the plan with the Big 12, WVU will earn 50% of the Big 12 revenue.  That will be a little over $13 million.

Is $13 million better than $4 million?

What facts can these fans provide those of us who felt the Big 12 move was the right move at the right time... that staying in the BE was preferrable?

Instead of speculation... I want facts.  Cold hard... freakin' facts...

Good luck with ever getting a semi-logical response to this request.  You'd have a better chance of hitting Powerball.  Anyways, one should never argue with an idiot.  They will only bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Dad isn't the only one who is among the discontent.  As he mentions... there are a lot of WVU fans like him.  All of the same people who post over and over on WVMetroNews.. and Dad.  There are at least 20 WVU fans who feel the same way he does.  He has numbers to support him and his POV.

If Dad cannot provide me with facts, then one of the many who feel similarly should be able to do so.
