kaara, If you want any credibility with your posts, don't make comments like this: "And this NONSENSE, yes I said NONSENSE, that there are no athletes on the UW team is jsut beyond absurd.... Bergerren is one of th emost athletic big men in the conference and is a likely first round NBA pick and is incredibly athletic..." Find me a mock draft that has Jared in the first round or even the second round for that matter. I like the guy but he is proving in Big 10 play that he is nowhere near NBA talent. Just because a 6'10 player on UW can dunk and hit 3's does not equate to NBA talent. Thanks for proving what "knowledgeable people" know though. Bo's teams are built to perform well in Big 10 basketball, not March. How else can you explain the fact that year after year they get defeated by mid majors when it matters most? Bo is too set in his ways to think outside the box and change things up. When is the last time he drew up an actual set play? How about an in bounds play? Heck, did you see the crap we designed for the last shot against 'Cuse last year? Bo didn't even bring in Berggren for the last possession despite the fact Jared was playing the game of his life! By the way, Bo's excuse for not calling a timeout to sub absolutely sucked. Every once in a while you will see Bo implement a full court press, but it is typically a minute or two late (i.e. Butler a couple of years ago). What you have with Bo is consistency. Most people are risk averse. They would rather have consistency and minimal downside risk versus more risk with greater potential upside yet more potential downside. In my opinion, Bo consistently gets us into March Madness. Anything past the first round or to is gravy. P.S. I like Dekker and am excited about our recruiting class next year. Just hope Bo exploits everyone's talents.

Whatever excuse you want to create in order to sleep better at night is fine with me... By the way, do you realize that since Bo took over as head coach at UW, 7 times a Big 10 team has made the Final 4? This include Indina (1), illinois(1), Ohio St (2) and Michigan St (3). Glad Bo can keep notching those first and second round wins as a 4 seed or better (except for the Elite 8 run I described in a prior message).

That is 3 times as many upsets (based on seed) that Bo has in his CAREER at UW in March Madness? Sorry for the interruption. I been saying it for years that bo is a great regular season coach who cant recruit or adjust to the match ups of teams come march......no kid with great talent wants to play in a 1950's hoosiers type offense.....bo is too stubborn.....just look at izzo....wisky is prolly closer to the spartans style of play out of all the big 10 teams....both teams preach defense and rebounding....but izzo can adjust to other teams style of play....sometimes its a bad thing tho, and we lose to a team like NW because we dont play our style.....but izzo allows his stars to run and gun sometimes, as long as they get back on defense and rebound....that IMO allows him to get a 5 star recruit every once and awhile...kids love to play for izzo.....do you REALLY think kids on wisky enjoy slowing every game down......its like they just go through the motions and dont have any fun........bergeron a first round pick???? Now that was funny.....had my laugh for the day.....lol i remember kaara telling me how great leuer was going to be in tne NBA. he was athletic kaara told me...wow so much dick bennett hate.....the man got wisky to a final 4!!!!! Who cares if u think he was lucky. Sparty got lucky that same year, coming back from 10 down at the half vs syracuse in the dance. Oh well...rather be lucky then lose year after year without ONE final 4. Please beat michigan this year....at least in the kohl.

To you who say I am not a knowledgeable person; First off I am knowledgeable on my own opinion (I happen to think my opinion is a very good one). Second, If you think my opinion is way off then I feel you have your head up Bo Ryan’s back side. When I said Dick Bennet won 5 Big 10 titles I was countering OllieBear when he said Bo Ryan had 5 Big 10 championships (see below). So like Brett Bielema says "get your facts straight". Oh and I love your comment on Jared Berggren being a sure first rounder and athletic. Yeah when you’re watching a fast turtle race other slower turtles, the fast turtle will seem fast! lol your unbelievable. And a 1st rounder you fool! Who are you, his daddy?You should enlighten yourself and watch other talented basketball teams and not just the caveman play our Badgers, and then maybe you will get the point.

Okay Wicks23 you have got to stop this Bo Ryan vs Dick Bennet saga.  You cannot compare Horizon conference championships with B1G championships, end of story.  I hate to pile on, but why would you pick a coach like Dick to compare stats to?  Dick Bennet ran an even slower 4 corners offense than Bo and probably had the least amount of talent in the league, not even sure they could slam dunk.  So I can only assume that you would hate them at least on the same level by your standards.

Just because the Badgers play a style you can play, does not mean it is best suited for a big time conference.

Well, actually Bo’s style has worked quite well in the B1G, to the tune of a  .710 winning percentage.... tops in the league with Matta  Now, I’m no rocket surgeon, but that’s pretty good isn’t it?

Enough of all this footsy. I like Bo Ryan.  I like good defense and good fundamentals...oh and winning.  You have made it clear that you like slam dunks and Final Fours.  I like Final Fours as well but they are hard to come by.  I will take my chances with a coach who gets us to the dance every single year and gives us a chance.  Every team in the B1G has ups and downs except Wisconsin and Michigan State. 

So the question is, since you despise Bo Ryan so much and measly sweet 16’s, who would you like running the show?

Question is....who's willing to coach at Wisconsin that will be better than Bo? Sure there's potential people out there that we've never heard of, but do you really think WI will take the chance of getting rid of a perrenial winner? 

I'm not sure if Bo can't recruit...don't feel it's that cut and dry. I believe he has certain standards when it comes to his players. It's more than the game of basketball for him.  If he just wanted final fours like the smucks Izzo & Matta, then his recruiting style would change to reflect that. Not saying it's that easy, but you need a few athletic punks to remain competitive every year in the tournament....unless you're Duke.

Dude, what don't you understand? Outside maybe Wesley Matthews, the other players mentioned were head cases. Buzz didn't steal anybody. Bo doesn't recruit these types. How well did Jeronne Maymon work out for Buzz anyways?

Bash Bo all you want, but know what you're talking about first.

Bo wants to win the championship, but he wants to do it with high character players who care about graduating from college before anything else. Apparently Barry Alvarez appreciates Bo's approach.

Izzo is a smuck? Why is that? Because he knows how to adjust in the tourney and win.....who cares what his regular season record is.....wisky can have all the big 10 championships they want.....we want national titles and final 4's. its all about playing on the brightest stage. Athletic punks? Just because a kid is athletic, hes a punk? Why? Because wisky never has athletic players?

Wicks, maybe people would actually listen if you actually posted facts that are actually true. There are guys you mentioned on the list that Wisconsin never offered and had no interest in them either. Maybe you should talk about how Bo has done against Marquette in recruiting Milwaukee, and you'll notice he's won more recruiting battles then he's lost.

Recently, Wisconsin has slowed it down, but that more has to do with the players they have. Look at the tempo stats in his first years, and you'll notice they were far from a slow it down team like they are now.

And that article is a joke, calling it journalism is ridiculous.
