BIG 12 Conference Tourney Seeding

OK, I went to the Website and here is how the tourney works:

     The # 8 & 9 seeds and the # 7 & 10 teams have play-in games.

     The 8/9 winner gets to play the # 1 seed (i.e.; Knasas)

     The 7/10 winner gets to play the # 2 seed

The rest unflods just like any tourney lose and out playoff.

Given the WVU record and conference standing, I do not see us winning our way out of the "play in".
So if we win the play in, then we likely lose against # 1 or 2.

Wow, I had some really sloppy spelling above - I was in a hurry.

If the tourney were today, WVU would play Texas in the 8/9 seed play in.
Texas Tech vs. TCU in the 7/10.

Baylor #2
Kansas St #3
Iowa St #4
Oklahoma #5
Ok St. #6

Tough year for WVU, but we will be better next year, Go Mountaineers!

I know we played poorly at Baylor, and also in our last game at KSU.  However, I do believe both Okie St. and Baylor at home are winnable games.  Sure we will have to play better.  Right now we are the #7 seed, trailing Baylor by one game.  Getting up to #6 is possible, though unlikely.

We will be lucky to keep our present #7 standing.  Texas has their best player back, and out of their next 6 games they play TCU and TT on the road... as well as 3 home games.

I don't see WVU winning another regular season game. 

It doesn't matter really whether we finish 7th or 8th.  Whether we play TT or TCU it looks like the only remaining winnable game on the schedule for us.  And we could easily lose to either of those two if we aren't careful.  Depressing...
