It takes massive willpower to be this intentionally ignorant. If that is really true, why are there so many of them in the Republican party?
It takes some massive willpower to be this intentionally ignorant.
I said that one of the solutions is you not taking your benefits and you come back with the above comment.
You see, what you want is my coverage. Well if you want my coverage you should have gone to school as long as I did, and worked as hard as I did to get good grades, and had my self control not to spend more than I had so the only debt I have is mortgage debt, which earns equity.Yes, yes, I get it. The old "I know this BS isn't true, but it makes me feel better about myself, and allows me to demonize others and blame them for society's problems".
Like I said, the problem isn't the system. The system rewards hard work and good decisions. The problem is so many Americans making poor decisions and then expecting the government and me to bail them out.Except that many of the people who don't have health insurance work as hard or harder than you do. But it's OK; I know that doesn't fit into your holier-than-thou worldview. As I said, it must take some massive willpower to stay that ignorant.
My comment was that one of the solutions is to not give SS benefits to those who don't need them.
Those seniors retiring in 2008 would say that their plans were not managed very well.I agree. I can also promise you that anyone who has retired with a 401k or a Roth IRA or some other form of IRA has never complained it was not managed very well.
Except that many of the people who don't have health insurance work as hard or harder than you do.Wrong. Nobody works harder than me.
Nobody works harder than me.Inaccurate.
Summary of important ideas:
1) The government doesn't cut costs. They increase costs.
2) The government runs poorly because there is no consequences.
3) Fair healthcare does not mean equal healthcare.
Agree that their plans which included 401Ks or Roth IRAs were not managed well and then say that nobody complained about them??????
Your mind is too small to understand the difference between an insurance plan for retired people and having your own retirement plan.I understand it completely. You're missing the point. The point is, the government run retirement fund is bankrupt. The only way to insure you have retirement savings is to go through the public sector, like a 401k or Roth IRA.
Millions of people work harder than you do.Nope.
, I did not have the time or the energy to spend all day postin BS on a public website with a computer.Time is constant. You can't make it or have it. It's just there. So it isn't a matter of "having" time. Just do it. There is always time.
I can assure you that when I was working 80 hrs a week in the trades,
1) The government doesn't cut costs. They increase costs.Wrong. (Not that they never increase costs, but as stated, it is false.)
2) The government runs poorly because there is no consequences.Wrong.
3) Fair healthcare does not mean equal healthcare. Not really concerned with fair or equal. I'm concerned with having the best system possible, which would mean going to a universal, single-payer system.
Nope.Yep. If you have time to post on here all day, a whole lot of people are working a whole lot harder than you. (And yes, this means the same goes for me.)
By the way, I bet you had pretty good healthcare there didn't you.Wrong once again. Zero health care. Keep trying. At some point there is a chance you will be right on something. No guarantee. But it is possible.
