I'm a beer bi-sexual.  I'm good with drinking bud light or Bud Ice etc.  But I can also get down witht he craft beers too.  It's all beer to me.

I'm kind of this way too, although more and more I'm a craft beer guy.  But it's not like I have a philosophical problem with the Budweiser/Coors/Miller's of the world...it's just usually I like a beer with taste.  I tend to like porters and stouts more than clear yellow lagers.

BUT, on a summer day there is still nothing quite like a bud can that's been on ice so long that it hurts your hand to open it.  It's like the ginger ale of beer...but on a 90 degree day that's what I want, over a heavy stout or something.

So it's situational for me.

Yeah here too.  There is a small cannery in Vermont called the Alchemist and they make one beer and one beer only.  It's called Heady Topper and it's a double IPA that only comes in 16oz cans.  It's the greatest beer on the planet.

The guy is currently trying to expand his production because right now you can hardly get it.  The brewery is in Waterbury VT and there is a line around the block on Thursday when they release their weekly batch.  Then they deliver on Fridays to all the local stores, and if you're not there by noon, you're not getting any Heady Topper.

Anyway, canning is definitely the new microbrew wave.

Damn, I want to try it now. Is there a way to order it?

This is, seriously, widely considered to be the best beer on the planet. I've had the 12 it and it is DAMN good.

I'll usually get a 6'er of something fancy and a case of miller light.  Drink 2 or three good ones, then pound cheap beers to get drunk.

Yeah, you can't get it now, but he is expanding his production and is supposed to start distributing outside of Vermont this year.  So keep your eyes open.

Westvleteren 12. It's made by Trappist Monks in Belgium, limited to one case per person, and they only sell it at their monastery with if you pinky promise to not resell it. Needless to say, it's hard to get. I ordered one from someone on ebay and paid $25 for it plus shipping. It was worth it.

Maybe you can access wiki's page about it.

That's more my style, though frankly, I don't get drunk on beer too much anymore.  I've been more of a whiskey man recently, if drunk is my goal.

No idea what happened, but beer just fills me up so much now.

Westvleteren 12.

Ah, OK I've had trappist ale's before...not this one though, obviously.  There is an awesome beer bar in my neighborhood called The Publick House that specializes in Belgian beers.  I should check with them on the off chance that they have this.

Also, here is the beer advocate page ranking Heady Topper.  I have no idea how old this rank is or how this stuff is voted on, but they had a "meet the brewer" event in Vermont this weekend and they were billing Heady Topper as "the #1 beer in the world."  It's backed up on this beer advocate page.

O: Currently ranked the #1 beer in the world and I can not disagree. There are a few beers that I would consider perfect, and this is one of those. Perfect example of a delicious DIPA.

Why…Why God? Why must The Alchemist be based in Vermont and have an extremely small distribution range? The drinkability and refreshment paired with the brilliant hop profile and clean, sweet malt bill make this the stuff a hophead’s dreams are made of. The necessity to continue drinking to keep the taste in my mouth makes this akin to meth. This is beer meth. Get addicted.
