Y'all got robbed

The 49ers had the game won. That would have been a TD if not for the hold on Crabtree. I wouldn't be surprised if the NFL made a rule change, allowing coaches and/or the boothe to challenge a penalty. Not for a flag, but against one. The refs would be less hesitant to throw the flag and it would ensure the right call is made.

Half the blame goes to Crabtree...


He ran a horrible route...

Ran into the defenders chest...not his outside hip...


Then he also pushes on the defender...

If anything it sould have been one of those dreaded 2 foul penalties on both sides.....and a replay...



Lets just face the facts....Kapernick has REAL issues in the redzone....        


       

31 pts most points scored by the losing team. this defense should not give up 34 pts. that is why they lost. defense couldn't get off the field in the 1st half again and the special teams gave up the big 108 yrd kickoff return.

I forget which analyst said it, but he said Crabtree slowed down instead of running theougfh the contact right at the goal line, and that's what killed the opportunity. He's bigger, and the defender would have had to mug Crabtree to slow him down. Crabtree dug his own grave. Also, I am not sure the ball was catchable with 2 feet in bounds. It was several feet out of bounds and came down from a steep angle. Credit the big pass rush for forcing Kaepernick to throw that ball, when he probably wanted to do something else.

Wow... Three 49er fans that see it like it is. If the 49ers played a complete game instead of one half it would have looked a lot different. Whe your team is clicking on offense no one can stop it. Period. But two big games in a row giving up big leads in the first half is not how to win. Like Seattle you guys played the comeback kids one too many times. Fair call - I thought it was going to be a replay of the Seattle v San Francisco game from a month or so ago, so whilst gutted at the result I am proud of the comeback.  I can't blame the refs, we were 1st and goal on the 5 yard line.  The refs were bad, but that's sport.  The non-calls that bothered me were the shove on an official and the mugging Torrey Smith gave to Culliver on offensive PI that wasn't called when it could have been an INT.  I'm sure Ravens fans have their gripes too, so again that's sports.  You can't replay every play and have all refereeing done from a booth.
 

Ravens fan here - terrific game guys, your team showed a lot by mounting that comeback and nearly pulling it out at the end. I have to agree with the other posters here on the last play (not being a homer, just re-watched it last night). I feel more convinced now that a no-call was the right call. Clearly Crabtree thought he was going to get flagged for OPI when you look at him on the ground. He's not lobbying for a flag, he's actually crossing his arms telling the official not to call OPI. Both players locked each other up. Crabtree was not running a fade route, that play was designed as a back-shoulder pass, and because of the pass rush in his face, Kaepernick was forced to throw it up and pray. The other poster was correct, it also was not a catchable ball if you look at the trajectory and where it landed. I think the right decision was made.

In my opinion, your team is set for the foreseeable future, you should be back there again soon. Best of luck moving forward.

Thank you.  What a bad call by the refs.  As a fan it sucks to somewhat lose a game like that.  I do put blame on the 1st half and how our D played.  I said it a couple of weeks ago the D scares me the most.  They are so hot and cold.  Play bad 1st half and a great 2nd half.  This game we needed 60 min of great football and we only got 30min again.
