Well great news is coming in. Word is ND will get him and Bama will come in 2nd and UCLA 3rd. These are just rumors but thats the update I have so far. Things might be looking good.
He sure would look good in "Blue n' Gold".Just heard on ESPN's recruiting update that ND is looking good for him,oh yea!!!!! On another front,ND has 22 LOI's,waiting for T Foster. He is supposed to send letter from school event this afternoon, around 2.30 pm.This from his parents.Gotta love it when players parents are pulling/pushing for ND.go irish!!!!!
How does Vanderdoes stack up against x-Irish d-lineman Lynch????
Different positions. Lynch was about 260-270 lbs and tall 6'6", played DE. Vanderdoes is big, but pushes 300 lbs, and projects as an inside Tackle. He's big and athletic, but he's going to be a guy thats called upon to clog the middle. Lynch was more of a pass rushing specialist.
Overall, given his size and athleticism, I think Vanderdoes rates higher than Lynch, but not by much.
Wrong. Vanderdoes is going to play defensive end. He insists upon it and it is a condition that must be agreed upon by any school that wants to sign him. For comparison, he is about the same size as Tuitt.

Where have you seen that? Every recruiting service lists him as a defensive tackle. All of the things teams are looking for in him is a DT, not a DE. Every service comparing his skill set says he reminds them of Vince Wilfork (DT). At 6'2 and roughly 300 lbs. (in HS), kid should be playing DT.
Not saying your wrong, just that this is the first I have heard of it and I am fairly certain ND wants him in the middle. Also, not really buying your line that any recruit can "insist" on where he plays. He certainly can state his prefernece and choose the schools that will cater to that prefernece, but any Div. I coach worth his salt is not going to tolerate a kid telling them where he's going to play. Coaches have big egos too, and "insisting" they be played somewhere doesn't go over very well.
