Safe??? Who is safe??? I don't know what changes are being made and for what, but I know one thing for sure two haven't been cut yet and are still on the payroll wasting talent. Who might that be??? Killdrives and Fool, you know the two idiots that seem to blame failure on others rather than accept blame. The only safe one is Eli ELITE? Manning. The Giants need speed on both sides of the ball and be able to protect Eli better, but the defense is the biggest priority in Giantland. IMHO here's who I think are gone:

Gone - Osi, Blackburn, Diehl, Barden, Phillips, Thomas

Restructure - Webster, Baas, Snee, Rolle

Bubble - Tuck, Webster, Hixon

Honestly, Tuck shouldn't go anywhere, but he hasn't produced in 2yrs.

They really need a DT that's a gap filler, big time.

Agree with Tru, but Antrel can't restructure his deal, Webster can as can Baas and Snee, I think you can toss in Rolle on the gone list. We do need a big DT, Canty is already canned, I would like to keep Thomas on the cheap, and I see us doing that. I think Tuck can produce, but injuries and our coodinator have hurt his producition. He thrived under Spags as an attacker, but didn't ignore his assignments (Cough* Osi) but seriously, we need to figure something out, we can only go up on defense, but what worries me is our offensive line, if they get worse (which is a possiblity shocking) then our offense can fall apart too... we need to solidify that as well...

Out of your list, I would say JPP is safe.  Had a down year in 2012. but he is still young.  With younger, hungrier players around him, I can see him returning to his 2011 form.

That's my safe list, should there be more? You can add Nicks but the injuries are getting old.

Sorry - I misinterpreted.  You want to know who else is safe?  I can name a few on defense, but not very many.  Aside from JPP:

Mathias Kiwanuka (hopefully switches back to DE)
Jaquian Williams
Mark Herzlich
Kenny Phillips
Prince Amukamura

Anyone else - at least in my eyes - is expendable after last season.

Sorry - I misinterpreted.

My fault, maybe unclear. I was more gettin at who earned their keep for this year.

Mathias Kiwanuka (hopefully switches back to DE)  agree
Jaquian Williams                                                Loved his 1st year, didn't seem to hear his name much last
Mark Herzlich                                                     love his story, the job was there to take and he didn't
Kenny Phillips                                                    thought he was going to be our greastest S ever,   injuries
Prince Amukamura                                             Maybe the 3rd year he shows why he was supposed to be top 10 pick

I don't see how KP should be considered safe, we have Stevie Brown to take his place and he's been average at best since his surgery.

Osi gone, Shaun Rogers re-signed... I like both moves. JPP Kiwi and Tuck (maybe) at DE, and Joseph, Rogers, and one more year for Austin at DT, and I'd also like Markus Kuhn back. Moving Kiwi back is a must though, and it's TIME TO GET A LB!!!!! I hear Bart Scott will be available... Could do worse.

Bart Scott is old.  We need young, hungry blood at LB.

kp shouldnt be considered safe especially since hes a free agent and the Giants might not resign him.. as for Bart Scott hes a 3-4 LB that has played in that defense his entire career

How about the FA's that should come back?  Andre Brown, Victor Cruz, Martellus Bennett and Will BeattyKenny Phillips should go.  Someone will give him too much money because he has excellent ability.  However, I'm quite sick of excellent ability players who are never 100% healthy.  This is why Nicks scares me.  I actually agree that he is better than Cruz when healthy, but note WHEN healthy.  How often in Nicks healthy?  He was in straight beast mode in the 2012 playoff run when he was at the top of his game.  That said I think the desire to lock him up before Cruz is a little baffling.  However, I think it's because it's pretty clear that Manning prefers Nicks as a reciever.  I have now read 3 mock drafts that have the Giants taking a TE in the first round, I'd prefer that they go DB and just bring Bennett back though.

it was the first day teams could cut players.. im surprised the Giants were the first to dump some big names.. theyll be more big cuts coming from the giants and the other 31 teams.. i think you are going to see some big name players getting cut around the league

I think because you can throw it up and he like Bolden can fight it away from the DB, Cruz can't, he's more the get open guy or nothing. You need a stud and that's Nicks when healthy. I want both though.

We have another Nicks waiting to explode. Reuben Randal has a season under his belt in limited action. He is ready to explode. With a healthy Nicks and a dangerous Cruz, we can have a potent passing offense if we can get the O-line under control.

Why in the world would we cut Barden? His one start he had 130 receiving yards.

I couldnt imagine them not resigning Cruz .... I think that will be a huge blunder if they do not ...... They have a good shot at getting  to the SB next year if they make the right moves but they have to include Cruz or I believe they have a slim chance without him
