So the wind is blowing 50 mph but you still it is still calm enough for 3 feet of snow to settle on your trees? Okay, Leonitis. Call me crazy, but when I lived in Alska and it was snowing in 50 mph wind, the snow didn't settle on anything. I guess in New Rondo you folks have a different type of snow.

This is a relative question.

The strongest storms meaning highest wind speeds are Tornadoes but they are usually very isolated and extremely small on a global level.

In Contrast, Hurricanes, Cyclones, and Typhoons, are large scale storms producing strong winds over thousands of miles.
