I agree with you on the Bleacher Reports but Mike Mayock is one of the most well respected talent evaluators in the NFL. The fact that you consider him an "analyst douche" is very telling about your understanding of roster evaluation.
Weird, it's one of those guys that picked the Chiefs to win the division.

Again Darth, Über and the rebuilders miss the point. Every analyst in the world can say the Raiders are rebuilding. I will believe it when I see it. They haven't started yet. They might. They probably will. But they haven't yet. I base my arguments on facts. Not what some dillhole who watches 10 minutes of Raider football a year says. Facts say the Raiders went for it last year. Opinions say they were rebuilding so we should have expected 4-12.

Why is it posters will point to conspiracy if you will when talking about what Reggie said or did in relation to this past year? Stating that what is he gonna state the team doesnt intend to compete, and that would hurt ticket sales and what have you? But when he comes out and states that Darren McFadden will be here, they want to believe that.

Truth is its not in the best interest of a GM to speak the truth until after the fact. Because anything they state negatively or otherwise about a particular player provides waves that cant always be surfed. Why have they taken the angle they have with the likes of Rolando McClain? If he came out and stated that McFaden wasn't in the teams plans, what in the hell would he get in return for him on the trade market? How would have an oft injured player in the final year of his contract now disgruntled work out for them?

Last year RM stated that the trade for Palmer was the cost of doing business. Was cutting 3 players who where just drafted the year before in the 3rd and 4th rounds the cost of doing business as well?

I really dont understand what people think is gained from interviews of what a player, coach or GM states. Its all lip service. Very few of them are honest about the assesment of what just transpired. One of the most honest was Jim Mora and it got him fired from 2 places that he helped build up from pratically nothing. Which is why few if any speak the truth into an open mic.

HERBERT464 you socred a bullseye. With that i tire of debating this. Bad moves are bad moves. This organization has to make more possitive moves thenjust the cap and contracts. That was not seen in 2012. 2013 must be better.

Weird, it's one of those guys that picked the <span style="color: #0d3a80;">Chiefs to win the division.
Anyone who covers the NFL holds Mike Mayock in high regard. The fact that you simpletons dont isnt a surprise. After all, I'm sure you three know more than people who actually run NFL teams for a living. What team do you guys work for again?

Let me guess, PFF doesnt have M.Mayock as the highest rated analyst, right Leppy? lol

Facts say the Raiders went for it last year.
Hahahah, really? They "went for it"? What tipped you off? Signing pro bowl players like Pat Lee and Omar Gaither? Or maybe it was the blockbuster addition of S.Spencer? Clearly we were gunning for a championship by keeping C.Carlisle!!! lol

Truth is its not in the best interest of a GM to speak the truth until after the fact. Because anything they state negatively or otherwise about a particular player provides waves that cant always be surfed.
Agreed, which was exactly my point on why we shouldnt read too much into the "we're not rebuilding" comments. You also might be right about D-Mac but personally I dont think so. I think he stays and I think Reggie wants him to stay so that we can win more than 4 f'n games next year.

I SAY RETURN ALL BUT FOUR STARTER IS REBILD!
Yeah, but how many of those starters are WORTH starting? How many of those guys do you think Reggie is happy to have starting? We brought back GREAT starters like C.Carlisle, K.Barnes, T.Kelly & R.McClain so does that mean we're happy they're starting for us? No, it means we didnt have the cash or draft picks to replace all the turds we would like to upgrade. Reggie has had one offseason yet you clowns act like this is the team that he WANTS to have. It's not and within the next few years you'll see a LOT of these guys slowy get weeded out.

You idiots talk about REBUILDING as if it's all done over night. As it stands now, this team needs upgrades to LG, RT, DE, DT, OLB, MLB and both CB spots. So if we dont need to "rebuild", what would you clowns like to call it so that we dont have to argue over verbiage anymore. It seems you idiots are hung up on the f'n word more than the process itself.

Another post about what time I posted....kinda weird man. Are you a stalker or something? Are you tracking my movements? lol

Making up stuff is free and available to all but , in some cases, only available during work hours.
lol, man, another good burn.

Kind of an ignorant assumption though. Personally, I dont even think that I know anyone who doesnt have a home PC or Laptop but maybe you do. I also have this amazing smartphone that can traverse the internet as well, it's like magic!

Well this rebuild just changed the offense yet again to focus on the two holdover stars from the last regime. Bottom line is they don't get excuses to use the players we have so wrong again. Rebuild retool or whatever they cant make tactical mistakes like that. We are just setting the groundwork for the futre this year. Should have been done during season one but they were careless in their analysis of how to exploint our talent. Only now have they considered that. Hence the new staff after only one season. Even in a 100% rebuild that is a failure that set things back a season.

We should be polishing last season's offense in year two. Instead we are installing a new one again.

However this has been a good start to our second season with the new hires IMO.

 I agree 100%

No doubt...

Should have been done during season one but they were careless in their analysis of how to exploint our talent. Only now have they considered that.
I would say that Dennis Allen was careless. Reggie was just doing what almost all GM's do...he let his coaches coach. Reggie hired Dennis Allen to run the product on the field and Dennis Allen thought Greg Knapp was a good OC. Obviously Dennis Allen was 100% wrong but in all honesty, he should have known better.

The one positive that I take out of all this is that Reggie seems to gets it. Instead of allowing Dennis Allen to make another mistake, he basically told him what he excpects out of his coaches. Instead of the dipshizz, lets force our players to adapt to our system approach, Reggie said he wants coaches to get the best out of their players. If you're married to a certain scheme, you'll never be able to get the best out of what you've got. Great coaches build game plans around their talent and that's what Reggie expects going forward.

Last year was bad but at least these guys have shown the ability to identify a mistake and correct it. If they hadnt fired Greg Knapp, I wouldnt have even watched any games next year but now, I'm once again optimistic about our future.

However this has been a good start to our second season with the new hires IMO.
Agreed. There's not a single coaching hire that we've made this offseason that I didnt think was a solid hire. Instead of bringing in guys who sucked everywhere they went, we went and got guys with proven track records. That should help our still wet behind the ears HC in 2013.

And perhaps you missed that PFF is subscribed to by all teams, and referred to by many, is now picking up references on ESPN as well. Apparently they those people think it's a valuable tool.

I love how you ALWAYS go to non-sequiters so early.

Tell me Darth, which well respected NFL evaluator, in any sense of the word, thinks you AREN'T and idiot.

Well, considering the fact that they ALL agree with me that we're "rebuilding" I would probably say none, lol.

I would actually agree with them that it is a valuable tool. However, unlike you, they dont think that its the ONLY tool...

Other than what somebody says, What evidence does anyone have that we started to or will start rebuilding? From where I sit we haven't even begun rebuilding. But so many people called 2012 a "rebuilding year". I'm still waiting for any shred of proof. I have not found any yet.

DENNIS ALLEN IS AN INTENSE BRINGER OF PAIN.

THE FACT THAT HE HAD NO COACHING EXPERIENCE AND BILL WALSH ONCE HAD NO COACHING EXPERIENCE IS IRREFUTABLE EVEIDENCE THAT DENNIS ALLEN WILL BE AS SUCCESFUL AS BILL WALSH AND WILL DO SO IN AN INTENSE, PAIN BRINGING WAY.

In other news: The draft is coming.

How many years does it take to turn this thing around if RM drafts a 1st round bust????
(and by turn it around, I mean getting back to 8-8 LOL)

If RM drafts a first round bust rest assured the short bus crew will love the pick until the day they are told to hate the pick at which point they will hate the pick like really, really hard. As for the years, this is a very complicated issue . If we win the division next year then Uber and the tards will be right because 3 years actually started when David Ausberry was drafted. If we suck for the next 8 years then it will be Al Davis' fault. It's complicated but the important thing to realise is never, ever, ever evaluate the state of the team based on the moves they make but the banal catch all terms you can use to excuse them and risable analogies involving houses, cars and cakes.

Don't forget about Guitars...

DA said once that a Raider player in specific is like an unpopular line of guitars. Just sell em for price and get rid of em.

Get over it. Hater. Dennis Allen is a bringer of pain.

I was in pain watching last season. Especialy that all telling opener. Nice decision having a linebacker long snapping in a pinch. That was my favorite.

But what do i know? Im only a fan not a paid NFL expert.
