Reports are saying Red Sox OF Bryce Brentz has been shot................by himself while cleaning his gun. He was shot in the leg and it is thought he will miss most of spring training.
Have to say I am disappointed in Brentz the coaching staff had high hopes for him this year and this is obviously a big setback.
Its amazing how many people "shoot" themselves nowadays. I mean there is so much out there about gun control and safety yet people fail to follow them. Never clean a loaded gun. Make sure the ammunition is removed and you check the camber before doing anything. Also, the first thing you should do is check the safety. I guess Brentz did non of those. Too bad, I was thinking he might be called up this year and do well. Looks like he won't get a shot this year.
LOL Red. I think he already got his shot. Seriously though, Brentz says he will be ready for spring training, but the Sox might be holding him out. At least until he completes his hunter safety course successfully!!
