I do not endorse this at all, but a lot of people around the country are starting to blame these drug corps for a lot of the drug abuse going on in this country. In parts of WV it is a true epidemic and as a whole this country has a major perscription problem.

Wonder how this thread will be turned into a Stew vs DH debate :)

Some validity to the point regarding drug corps I guess.  Prescription drug ABUSE is has certainly become a terrible epidemic.  Drug overdose has quickly became a leading killer among teens and younger adults.

Who is to blame may be a bigger argument:  Is it the drug corps who develop the drug to treat illness...  originally developed for good, but later pushed for $$$?;  The doctors who prescribe stronger addictive drugs when less adictive drugs can be tried first?  Some who also become popular for gaining the reputation of being an "easy" office to get a drug of choice?;  Or do you blame the individual, who makes achoice to take a known addictive drug, allow themselves to become addictive, and then feed that addiction at all cost?

Regardless of opinion, a grave site is not the place to voice your displeasure.  Get involved with law enforcement and help them identify doctors offices, users, and citizens involved in illegal sales,  organize rallies, contact your state representatives, etc.

I agree 100% dawg, I would never do anything like this to get my point across but some will.

 Is it the drug corps who develop the drug to treat illness...  originally developed for good, but later pushed for $$$?;

yes

The doctors who prescribe stronger addictive drugs when less adictive drugs can be tried first?

They give the doctors bonuses for pushing the drugs they may rep, huge conflict on interest in my opinion.

Some who also become popular for gaining the reputation of being an "easy" office to get a drug of choice?;

Should be in jail, some of these dealers work out of trailers and such, look at what is happening to southern WV, some of those towns our doped up zombies these days....it really is sad.

Or do you blame the individual, who makes achoice to take a known addictive drug, allow themselves to become addictive, and then feed that addiction at all cost?

I blame them the most....I know generations are different and we all have different upbringings and in turn have different values, but the end of the day you are only accountable for yourself and your actions....if YOU have a drug problem then YOU need to fix it....easy no, worth it yes.   We have made perscription drugs so readily available that I am not sure this problem will ever go away...

50% of all prescribed drugs consumed in the good ole US of A.  Many of them incredibly dangerous, and yet the gubment will not legalize marijuana, a mostly harmless herb which could be used for many uses, and would prefer to spend tens of billions of dollars enforcing its prohibition, and filling our jails with non-violent "criminals."

Law Enforcement recently busted a Doc in Fayette Co. for trading prescriptions for sexual favors.  Also got his secretary for scheduling these "appointments" knowing what was happening.  The old Doc was in his 70's so you have to give him some credit there!

Definitely a sad situation and not really trying to make light of it...   but sometimes you have to laugh to keep from crying!

For every one caught, there are at least 10 others that continue to get away with it.  That's why it's so important to report all information to local authorities.

I couldn't agree more.  It seems easier said tha done though.  I can't say I know what it's like....   but I do know a LOT of good people that have fallen into the trap. But as you said, at the end of the day, they have to make that decision.

Pretty much that. They have no interest in solving the addiction problem in this country. They only offer the same temporary solutions so it looks like they are doing something

Milan Puskar strived to make WVU athletics everything it is today. Because of him and many other people who believed WVU could be on par with the other major programs in the nation. He helped build all that you seem to be against. You may not have desecrated his grave, but you continue to desecrate his vision and the reality it has become. Feel free to change your tune and I will change mine.

Even if you didnt agree on what the man did for a living and how he made his fortune... there is no reason to desecrate his final resting place...

if you have issues with him and his company there are plenty of outlets that will allow you to voice your opinion...

idiotic

Mike himself is no longer of this earth so  he could care less but its just got to rip out the hearts of his family...

There is quite a difference in disagreeing with a bunch of guys on an internet site and vandalizing people's graves.   Mike gave to the athletic department with NO strings attached, he loved WVU and gave freely to the school as well.  He was NOT like Kendrick who thought his money gave him the right to run the show.   Mike wanted WVU to be a better school,   I do not think he wanted for WVU to become like Miami or OSU,  but wanted WVU to maintain what makes us special.  If you want to argue about how the athletic department is run, have at it,  but NEVER accuse someone of a despicable action like this.

It was a JOKE DAD!!!!  That's a bigger part of the problem in this country...  people can't take a joke.  Some people are so worried about being RIGHT, and what they perceive as being RIGHT, that they walk around with a chip on their shoulder and over react to things that mean nothing.

Choke on a gnat and swallow a camel...
