Peyton Manning Worst of All Time

Most overrated statistic in team sports is the win-loss record for an individual player.

So true.

The best player in the league usually does not win the championship and sometimes doesn't even play for a playoff team. So there's only minor correlation between QB quality and team titles or even wins. The best QB in the NFL in a given season rarely wins the Super Bowl that year.

I believe Favre and Warner are the last NFL MVPs to win Super Bowls, and they go back to 1996 and 1999. There are so many good QBs now who can take a team to the Super Bowl and win, so having a top-3 QB is not as special as it once was, and is not a guarantee for a deep playoff run or a title.

That's the same problem I have with it RR#1......Manning has thrown for 3005 yards more than Flacco in the playoffs.....but still both only have 1 ring and 1 SB MVP award. So what makes one better than the other?

Joe has 13 playoff game starts and he has won 9 of them for a .692 winning percentage and Manning has 20 playoff starts with a record of 9-11 or .450 winning percentage.

Flacco is tied for 10th and  right now has a better playoff winning percentage than some of the greats of the game.....Bradshaw, Elway, Favre, Staubach, Kely, Young, Marino, Simms, Rodgers, Brees.....I could continue.

As I said in my post, there was plenty of blame to go around. Bailey gets his fair share too. But again, if I have to pick only one person to put the blame on, it's Moore because without his boneheaded play, the Broncos win, despite the poor game from Champ.

For everyone saying that Peyton wins that game if Moore doesn't mess up, please realize that Peyton isn't even in the game if the Ravens special teams doesn't mess up TWICE.  The game was never as close as it appeared.  

This is idiotic. First, how do you know the Broncos don't drive for touchdowns on the possessions they would have had if Holliday doesn't return those kicks for touchdowns?  Second, neither team at any point led by more than a touchdown, so yes the game was as close as it appeared. Maybe you didn't realize it but special teams are part of the game, too, and those touchdowns count just as much as any other.

Manning didn't play for the Broncos then so I couldn't care less about his any of his other playoff failings. 

Broncos6482...respectfully, I hear ya.  I still think that history has a way of repeating itself.  So, while the media kept dogging the Ravens on how old they were and kept overlooking them as they were looking ahead to the Pats, I couldn't help but think of all of the one and dones that Peyton has put up over his career.

I didn't expect the Broncos to lose, but I still couldn't believe that the media completely dissed the Ravens and acted like the Broncos didn't have to play the game -- especially considering Peyton's history.  I didn't hear one so-called sports journalist or reporter express concern over the one and dones.   We all know what can happen on any given day.  So, yes, I care about what Peyton did in his previous playoff outings.

 As long as you're talking about Peyton's regular season stats he is GOAT with all of  these individual accomplishments.  But when he chokes in the playoffs..all of a sudden it's a team game.

I never said that once.

Hey Blitz, tell me who has the better TD to INT ratio between Flacco and Manning in the post season?  Oh, you don't want to talk about the scoring vs turnover ratio?  You probably want to focuse on yards.

I like to talk about ALL of them, not just one particular statistic or that statistic that is a team statistic being mistreated as an individual statistic.

Hey though, if you want to talk about EVERYTHING...let's go for it.

Completion%?
Yards Per Attempt?
Yards Per Game?
TD:INT?

If you want to lump all of those in, and hell, we can break it down even further if you want to?  I'm all for it.  Just don't be coming to me with a comeback of just ONE statistic thinking it's going to be the be-all end-all, because it's not.

it was a bad playoff indeed. he couldn't even lead his team to a single TD against baltimore, they won 15-6 with 5 vinatieri FGs and dominant D.
