Tom Gamble new VP of Player Personnel

This is the guy whose helped build the 49ers team that's snagged such talented guys whose haven't been the most highly regarded players in the draft like NaVorro Bowman and Kendall Hunter. It also helps he's got a ton of experience in helping to build a dominant 3-4 D.  Now the Eagles finally have a FOOTBALL guy to go along with Howie Roseman the SALARY CAP guy.

Love the move.

Love this move as well.  Certainly needed someone to help with the football moves.  This way Roseman doesn't get any power in that department.  This guy has a great eye for finding talent in every round of the draft and FA.

Kelly brought in his guy in Dixon, might Gamble do the same with Goldson. I hope so because we need a safety bad.

I LOVE this move!   As a newbie local to the 49ers market, I've been getting quite an "education" from the local hardcores.  Nobody gives Gamble any love, per se -- they simply call it as we have for years,  "The FO".  Everybody knows about the SF's Top 10 Drafted OL.  And it's worth knowing.  But SF is much more than that.  All of you guys know that I don't claim any wisdom RE: college kid draft picks.  So its probably not too surprising that I never heard of, most of the SF core.  Navarro Bowman, from what I've seen this year, is their best LB.  But, obviously, teams "Scheme" Patrick Willis, so don't put too much into my previous statement.  But in the interest of a shorter post, let me say, this could very well be an awesome "FO" move for the Eagles.   I liked bishops additive bottom line in his opener:  Now the Eagles finally have a FOOTBALL guy to go along with Howie Roseman the SALARY CAP guy.   YEAH..........

PS:  I find it surprising that that the "Locals" do NOT revere Bill Walsh like I thought they would.  That makes me like them better...........
