One teammate blamed Steelers OLB LaMarr Woodley's 2012 injuries and poor performance on Woodley being out of shape.
"He was awful," the teammate said. "He tells us he works out, but we didn't see it. He wasn't in shape. That has to be a reason why he was always hurt." Woodley was also injured often in 2011. Beat writer Ron Cook opined that Woodley looked "heavy and slow" last season, resulting in a career-worst year. Woodley is plenty capable of turning things around, but it's fair to wonder if he packed it in a bit after getting paid in 2011. That August, the Steelers signed Woodley to a six-year, $61.5 million contract with $22.5 million guaranteed. Source: [Ed Bouchette on Twitter ]I don't like the fact his team mate has gone public but this could be a good thing in the long run. Woodley needs something to get him going again and being called out on something like this is bound to give him a chip on the shoulder. Look for a big 2013 for Woodley.I'd have to know who the teammate was before I took it too seriously. If it was a veteran player that's one thing but it could have been some obscure player that spent two weeks in Pittsburgh and is never coming back. All Cook said was he was a teammate. That could have been anyone or it could have been made up knowing Cook. These writers will do anything to get their names mentioned.

I find it hard to believe a veteran would even question Woodleys work ethic nevermind blab to the media about it. It's got to be a young guy but I'm sure we will find out who it is in the next few days.

Really? Didn't Ward and Harrison comment on Ben to the media?Ha yeah I think you might be right, I cant remember exactly what they said but It probably was deserved with the poor decisions Ben used to make.
Yeah thats exactly what I thought, Kinda like how Flacco reacted to Woodleys comments, slightly different to this situation but he had a point to prove and it got the best out of him. Lets hope he works hard this off season and is ready to go week 1
The positive to come out of it all is that Woodley may now have a point to prove. Players are prideful. He won't come into came out of shape again
Lets hope he works hard this off season and is ready to go week 1You keep hoping that. If you don't mind, I'm going to hope he comes into week 1 at a weight that would make JaMarcus Russell say "Damn, he's fat"

Ward questioned Bens toughness when Ben sat out for a concussion but Ward did it publicly and it was noyhing that he wouldnt have said to Ben's face. Least It hink thats is what is being refered to about Ward speaking out on Ben. <span style="color: #333333; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11.818181991577148px;">Really?
