Nice to see a couple of Phillies squeak in right at the end there, haha.
Royals future > your teams futureAny real rock solid info on when their present will finally be as rosy as their future?
I found a few names of interest on the bottom 1/4 of this list myself. At # 73, is the likely starting centerfielder. At # 95, is the Tigers likely new closer.I am somewhat surprised that Bruce Rondon is that far down the list.
You aren't looking for top pitching prospects to be relievers. Pitching prospects like that are a dime a dozen, even if he does have a significantly higher ceiling.Agreed. Most closers were originally starters in the minors that were converted for a variety of reasons. The thing that puts closers down on the list is that you could have a middling type starter prospect and then when he converts to the bullpen he becomes a better prospect. You usually don't hear much about these guys until they reach the majors. Guys like Rondon and Drew Storen were exceptions because they were essentially drafted or signed as closers, so therefore the hype.
Keith Law > Jim Callis
We'll see. As I've tried to tell you without success, it's ridiculous to try and forecast thatIt really isn't if you have the prospects. You said not long ago that the Yankees would sign free agents. That is forecasting. Guys like King Felix, Verlander, Wainwright, and Kershaw. Myself, and others, told you that the landscape of baseball free agency is changing. Felix is already signed, and it is my best guess (forecast) that Kershaw and Wainwright are signed by mid-season, with Verlander to follow at the end of the season.
