I found a few names of interest on the bottom 1/4 of this list myself.  At # 73, is the likely starting centerfielder.  At # 95, is the Tigers likely new closer.  And, at # 99 is an MLB junior, and a likely coming base staeling threat.

My 'team' is in Triple-A, so it's probably an even-money bet, sadly.

I am somewhat surprised that Bruce Rondon is that far down the list.

Friggin CBS and their goddamn Error pages. FIX YOUR SITE YOU BUMS!!!!

Well, I had a longer post typed out, but not going to do it again. Suffice to say, he's down that low because he's a relief pitcher and that's all he's ever going to be. You aren't looking for top pitching prospects to be relievers. Pitching prospects like that are a dime a dozen, even if he does have a significantly higher ceiling.

Gotta like the Sox' prospects coming in at #8 (Bogaerts), #31(Bradley), #40 (Barnes), #49 (Webster), and #91 (Owens). Even though he doesn't qualify as a prospect, Sox fans have to add Rubby De La Rosa in there as well.

Yanks prospects come in at #32 (Williams), #57 (Sanchez), #63 (Heathcott), and #77 (Austin).

Rays get #4 (Myers), #36 (Archer), #62 (Guerrieri), #90 (Lee), and #92 (Odirizzi)

O's get  #2 (Bundy) and #26 (Gausman),

Jays get #65 (Sanchez) and #98 (Stroman)

As far as pitching goes: Sox have 3 pitchers, Rays have 3, O's have 2, and Jays have 2. Yanks have 0.

Of all of these players, it looks like the Rays could have the most debuts this season, with Myers and Archer virtual locks to be in the majors this season for some significant time. Odirizzi could also be a late season callup. The Sox could have as many as 4, but at best they would be September callups with Bradley the only one that could see more time. O's may give Bundy another shot if they are in contention, If not, let him sit in the minors and hold back that arbitration clock. Jays and Yanks likely won't have any prospects joining the majors this season.

I am excited about the present and future of the Red Sox.

Agreed. Most closers were originally starters in the minors that were converted for a variety of reasons. The thing that puts closers down on the list is that you could have a middling type starter prospect and then when he converts to the bullpen he becomes a better prospect. You usually don't hear much about these guys until they reach the majors. Guys like Rondon and Drew Storen were exceptions because they were essentially drafted or signed as closers, so therefore the hype.

Hey Nasty. Nice of you to join. I guess you were waiting for me.

Where are the Yankees getting that pitching from again in 2015 and 2016? Maybe even 2014.

We'll see. As I've tried to tell you without success, it's ridiculous to try and forecast that.

Like how I didn't know Kuroda would be the #2 in 2013, in 2010. If you had asked me then, I might've said Ian Kennedy would be in the rotation.

Prospects are always fun to look at, but it is hard to take anything in... next year the rankings will be totally different... boegarts is ranked 8th now, who knows, he may fall out of the top 100...  Look at francisco lindor, christian colon and many others... Not to mention when talking about teams like the Yankees, if they need to make a deal and get rid of some of these players they will...    Other players like trout and Pujols came out of nowhere, so how much can we really read into these rankings??

Isn't that what prospect lists are all about? Forecasting the future. It's like the weather...you are never 100% sure, but you can get a pretty good idea where you stand when you walk out the door.

We'll see. As I've tried to tell you without success, it's ridiculous to try and forecast that
It really isn't if you have the prospects. You said not long ago that the Yankees would sign free agents. That is forecasting. Guys like King Felix, Verlander, Wainwright, and Kershaw. Myself, and others, told you that the landscape of baseball free agency is changing. Felix is already signed, and it is my best guess (forecast) that Kershaw and Wainwright are signed by mid-season, with Verlander to follow at the end of the season.

Please share your wisdom with us.

What I said was they'd supplement their Milb talent with FA and trades from said Milb talent.

Which is kind of what they've always done.

Not sure why you can't grasp the concept.
