Just read he may not be ready for next season's training camp. This is a real bummer. In limited action, Sean showed a ton of athleticism and would be perfect at his size to play mid LB in our 3-4 D. If he was able to play last season and showed promise, we may not be re-signing Larry Foote and his vetern contract. Injuries have really hurt the Steelers the past few seasons at every level. This injury has changed the Steelers 2013 offseason and draft. The Ravens dealt with a similar issue regarding the LB (cannot remember his name) they drafted out of Texas that a head injury ended his career. That kid was a first round pick while Sean was a 3rd rounder. Anyways, was interested in Steeler Nations opinion on Spence and how this will affect our draft?
Sergio Kindle was the Ravens LB.And he was a second round pick.
And he was a second round pick.
Besides, his issue was more alcholism and stupidity that led to an injury. Who gets a fractured skull after falling down two flights of stairs (probably from a night of drink) and then goes drunk driving while his freaking skull isn't even healed. Both second rounders that year were a waste.
His stupidity also cost him his hearing in his left ear which severely hampered him hearing the defensive playcalls while on the field. Once the Ravens cut him, he tried to latch on with the Giants but after the workout was told to hit the road.
A terrible case of wasted talent due to complete stupidity. Such a shame.
