Shutter Island has to be his absolute worse. A complete rip-off of The Ninth Configuration.

Shutter Island was pretty good, but not on the same level as some of his others.  And it wasn't a rip off of anything.  It was an adaption of the novel Shutter Island.  Now, the novel could have been a rip off I suppose but I doubt it.

You'd be wrong. The Ninth Configuration was based on the 1966 publication of Twinkle, Twinkle, "Killer" Kane by William Peter Blatty. It was reworked and republished as The Ninth Configuration in 1978. Blatty wrote, directed and produced the film version in 1980. 

You misunderstand.  The novel Shutter Isalnd (which the movie Shutter Island was adapted from) I suppose could be a rip off of the movie The Ninth Configuration.

Goodfellas with Taxi Driver coming in at a close second. 

Followed by The Departed. 

Raging Bull isn't as good as it's made out to be in my opinion.  I found it pretty damn boring actually.
