He actually then might be able to shoot more then 100%.

"I see Michael Jordan still hasn't lost his knack for getting deep into people's heads."

Michael Jordan is 50. He can play in senior leagues now. James is dominating the NBA. Nobody until the last 1.5 years of LeBron James play has been  put anyone in the same sentence with him.

James is now in that sentence and Jordan felt the need to make ridiculous comment that Kobe/Laker fans ran with because he blocked a shot in an EXHIBITION game. Hell, who cares if it was actually a real game. All players get shots blocked.

Fact is, James can go right, left, up , down, middle or anywhere else he wants. Scary thing is, he is still getting better.

Jordan isn't trying to get into anyone's heads.  Instead, he is trying to stay relavant.  The dude is 50 and is becoming an after thought in the Lebron era.  With Kobe, he wasn't threatened.  After all he got 6 rings AND 6 MVPs.   But Lebron.  Another story.   It is unlikely any player will get 6 more rings; however, Lebron has a shot.  And he will get many more MVPs.  He is a record-breaker.

And I love Jordan's ring comparison.  My question to Jordan:  So where does that put Robert Horry?  LOL

Jordan fears his reign fading.  Sorry Jordan, this is reality.

I believe he meant as the main option which would put Kobe at 2 rings.  If Kobe gets #6 somehow you better believe that MJ will bring this point up.

Don't be to hard on Wooshy ... in terms of Jordan, I'm sorry ... it's true.  The longer he is in the limelight, he's a terrible owner and his basketball knowledge, to the NBA's credit - the game has evolved and you see his success of lack there of is the ability to not adapt

LeBron & Durant ... heck the tail end is Kobe because he's more so at the end of his career, teams are now adapting from Super Teams to big men, etc.  It will be interesting how the game evolves again.  LeBron as scary as it is ... he's evolving and getting better, the maturity is there and he wants to improve his game ... just like Durant, heck even CP3 and I'd like to see Kevin Love once he returns.

I hate to say it ... the more Jordan speaks now and his actions, you see guys like Russell and Dr J, heck to a point even Jerry West, guys who are more so in the shadows, their legacies seem to grow.  Just like Jordan going to the Wizards, now running the Bobcats ... those 6 rings, how many years does it have to take when it starts sounding like Al Bundy?

When Michael Jordan made the comparison of other players to himself, He was comparing another player who was a starter, an elite player and and an all star with leadership history and the championship rings.  No one would compare Robert Horry to even Lebron because Horry was a role player who got lucky.   It is sad that todays kids don't know how to comprehend what intelligent business owners like Michael Jordan is saying about the game.

Eeeehhhh ... sorry man, if Jordan EVER ... and I do mean EEEEEEEVVVVER has any say in the Lakers front office, I'd be worried as a fan

In terms of business, I get the Jordan brand and protecting the image .. but that's mostly ALL Nike and not Michael Jordan, everything else in terms of "business", I don't want Jordan to ever get involved in.  Nike's note to Jordan, don't mess things up ... period.

"I see Michael Jordan still hasn't lost his knack for getting deep into people's heads."

I see it this way; James DOES have things that he can do to get even better. You can bet that James will look at this in the offseason and work to improve it and ou can bet that he will be even that much better than the rest of the NBA as he continues to build his array of moves and strengths.

I HOPE he got in James' head. James has never shied away from taking constructive criticism. Last year the knock on James was that he didn't go into the post enough or do well enough when he was there so he worked with one of the best ever, Hakeem Olajuwan, to improve this. I expect to see more of the same this offseason and every other one from here on out from James.

Rhd, im just wondering, why are you so attached to the way Jordan has been as an owner? Its seem like everytime you bring up Jordan, you always talk about what a bad owner he is or him being bitter in a way. I know you not saying this, but it seem like you are trying to downgrade his opinions. Just asking!

It's simple ... as Jordan get the credit as a player that he deserves, there were very structured advisors and team mates that were smarter than Jordan like a Dean Smith or a Phil Jackson, the Bulls providing a system which gave him Scottie Pippen ... he's a great player but you give him total control of his decisions, horrible.

I don't think I truly need to downgrade anything, I think Jordan himself does that by himself.  I get the legacy of athletes, no greater mythos than Michael Jordan and rightfully so, but the more and more he is away from people who actually know the game ... who actually evolve with the game ... the more his knowledge or lack there of, of the NBA is exposed.  People can't seperate the 6 rings vs the man himself ... it truly is a unfair to the Tar Heels and Bulls teams he played for.  Much like the credit that LeBron has or that Kobe has ... the system creates the player, the creator of the system deserves far more credit than the executioners.
