prinz i would love rhodes but every single mock ive read have the bucs taking him at 13.. i dont think ive seen one where they werent the team to draft him.. i hate the off man coverage too.. i think they also play to much zone and people are confused to where they are supposed to be.. i wish fool would just let them line up and play press man to see what happens... at least prince has looked good, im excited to see if he takes that next step in his 3rd year( really his 2nd since his rookie year was a wash)

yea but these mocks are garbage. I've been routinely looking at a bunch and they are all different. Just now I read that he's not even in Kiper or MAyock's top 3 CB's. A week ago he was the #2 CB prospect on everyones lists so I don't know what to believe. I do know that he ran a 4.43 at the combine whereas Banks ran a 4.61. So if they are both 6'2 I'll take Rhodes all day and I don't know much about Trufant but those 3 are consistently the 2-4 ranked CB's on everyones boards.

Plus every year there are a bunch of guys drafted in spots that nobody expects which leads good players to drop a little. WHo would have ever thought that Prince would be available when we drafted him. The only thing that sucks this year is that there aren't many good QB's to draft and only 1 will probably be picked by the time we are up to draft which means not as many guys will slip.

this might piss some people off but i can see the Giants taking corneilius carradine with one of the first 2 picks.. DE from florida state blew out his knee in november but might have been the best pure pass rusher in the draft before he went down.. dude is 6'5 270 with a great burst.. he would be a great fit with the giants if healthy.. since the giants dont need him to contribute to the positon right away i can see them taking him with a high pick

The last thing the Giants need is to draft yet ANOTHER player early; only to sit him on the bench.  Call me radical, but I'd like to see them draft players in the first couple of rounds who can contribute right away. That's what early picks are supposed to do.  Doesn't it piss anyone off that sixth and seventh rounders were starting on other teams and doing well, while the Giants 1st and 2nd round rookies were on the bench 98% of the season?
Must respectfully disagree, Tool.  All the pass rushers in the world mean squat when our linebacking unit sucks and we can't defend the pass down field.   Add a DE later in the draft for depth?  Sure.  If we're going to draft a DE to just sit him on the bench, let's do it round 3 or later.  Much bigger needs to address in rounds 1 & 2 (LB, OL, CB).
As for no one calling for Corey Webster's head when they won the Superbowl, that was then.  Do we want the Giants to keep celebrating the past?  Or, do we want them to get better so they can win another Superbowl?

I agree Charlie, Corey Webster gave up 988 yards in coverage (third-most in NFL) and eight touchdowns (second-most), according to Pro Football Focus.

Your not going to win the Super Bowl every year...those are crazy expectations even though we all want them too.. As for carradine I was just saying I could see the Giants doing it... Not sure if I agree with it or not..maybe it changes since the giants are trying to get younger but they never pick guys and expect them to contribute from day 1

I wouldn't, the guy is one "if" healthy is as as good if not  better than an DE in the draft. Don't know how I feel about taking him at 19th but he has Jerry Reese written all over him. Prinz, makes a good point about Xavier Rhodes and even though I don't think he will be there at 19, he possibly could fall because if you remember Prince Amukamara was projected to be picked around 8 or 9 all the way up to the day of the draft he fell to the Giants i believe at 19 so its a possibility and a good choice for the Giants if he is there. BTW, Adrien Wilson just got released from Arizona... Any interest? I have always been a big fan and felt he has been one of the most underrated players in football.

PrinzNJ has a point, why the hell do we have Painter when we can get Vince Young just as cheap?  I know the man is a head case but so was Tiki Barber and the Giants dealt with it.But Painter??? Thats just going lowwwwwwwwwwwwww on the back up qb chart.

Agree, good deal for Jenkins, and if Adrian Wilson was released MY GOD we should at least give him a look. All this talk about keeping Rolle for 8 million a year, the least we could do is take a look at Wilson, see how he is, I think he would  be a upgrade over either Phillips or Rolle.

They are hoping Marvin Austin finally shows them something and then it will be a pretty good defensive tackle rotation.

They are hoping Marvin Austin finally shows them something OTHER THAN HIS VAG. If this clown bows out hurt again this year I hope Tampax offers him an endorsement deal.
