List of the top 10 Head Coaches in NFL history

We've been preaching that for how long now? Sometimes it just doesn't sink in. I don't know how it can't...there are articles all over the place outlining it and players who have admitted it.

And they won while "cheating".

I respect that  they were innovators

When the Steelers did steroids - and we did, I wont even try to deny it - they were legal. When Ray Lewis used antler spray to recover, that was cheating.
I don't care if steroids were illegal in the 70's...the objective is to beat them.  No excuses.  The Steelers of the 70's were just an amazing group of players/great FO/HOf coach.  Can't take anything away from them.

Steroids is such a pansy excuse in any era.  If one team is on steroids, guess what?  They all are.

What he said. Just like if people are stupid enough to think Belichick was the only one ever videotaping from an illegal location.

We know the Steelers and Chargers had players on them and good reason to believe the Raiders and Super Bowl IV Chiefs had players on them. We do not know if other teams right now or in the past have illegally videotaped, but that does not mean it did not happen or people admit it years later. I wouldn't be surprised if someone else admits it.

Kyle...then if they were such a great group why did they feel the need to use drugs to win...that is the point we have been trying to make here and some felt the need to completely excuse them or ignore it completely all the while calling the Patriots cheaters. Seems hypocritical if you ask me.

Denver a few years back.  Johnson admitted he did it  and Cowher said he had a scout in the stands with binoculars getting signals.  They do it in college  and good HS programs.  Why do a lot of major colleges have 2 pla ycallers on sideline ( usually back up qb's)  one giving real calls and one fake?

??

I thought by now other coaches (Including Cowher) admitting to doing the exact same thing was common knowledge.

You can add the Dallas Cowboys to that list. Randy White was known for using steroids.

so does one Cowboy lessen the severity of the entire offensive line of the Steelers doing it?

RM, I never said they were cheating as steroids were legal back then. Just said that you can put the Cowboys on the list of teams that used them.

You keep saying it wasn't cheating, and it doesn't really matter, because every team was doing it, because steroids weren't a banned subdtance at that time.. Pure semantics.. The fradulant obtaining and use of steroids for performance enhancement was a violation of the law, and that supercedes everything... It provided an advantage that could only be equalized by breaking the law... That is cheating.. All there is to it..

Did the NFL have a rule in place about poisoning your opponents?.. Because if they didn't, and the Steelers poisoned half the Cowboys team to create an advantage, not cheating.. Right?

Fear  you might be on to something.  I remember Bruschi saying that everytime he went to Pittsburgh to play  and he looked at the women there  he got sick to his stomache.  Coincidence  I think not
