Royals started a season, in the 90s i think at least 10-0 or more than that
pretty sure it was pena's first season there
You're thinking of 2003. I don't think it was 10-0 (chuck will remember) but they started off hot and then fizzled in the second half to finish 83-79. Didn't hurt that they got to beat up on the awful Tigers that year.
Yankees manager Joe Girardi announced Wednesday that first baseman Mark Teixeira has been diagnosed with a strained right wrist, suffered while warming up to play for Team USA Tuesday. Girardi told reporters that Teixeira will be out 8 to 10 weeks due to the injury, meaning he will likely miss at least the first month of the regular season. This confirms Yankees GM Brian Cashman’s worst fears from Tuesday, when he told reporters he was very concerned about the injury and sent Teixeira to New York for an MRI. Teixeira will rest for four weeks before beginning the rehabilitation process. For what it's worth, Teixeira is usually out for April. For all intents and purposes
The real questions is if whenever Tex returns will now be hsi new "April", or whether it just means his usual chitty Aprils wont take place this year

There goes the only part of the season where he's usually good!

It's official. Henry has raped the last of the right-handed puji from the Fraudkees' soul.
You guys are dropping like flies. Check that, you guys are dropping like Cashmans.
Those 48 extra outs, combined for 7.9 runs cost...Which in it of itself puts a big dent into the extra 16 runs Arencibia got his team by hitting a home run that Hanigan doesn't
Then factor in whatever extra runs Hanigan actually got the Reds by getting on base (without looking it up, I'm willing to bet a lot the Jays led baseball in solo home runs)
Then how many of those 39 extra runners Arencibia allowed to advance on SB's, PB's or CS's scored on singles or sac flies that wouldn't have if they were still standing on first (or were thrown out)?
Now how does my math add up now.. i said before look at all the Yankees who got hurt and thw backlash was serious. Oh they are gonna be ready by opening day. This abd that. Now look. And the Blue Jays are the obes who have injury concerns. Last place is coming folks. This board is gonna be a yankee fan ghost town
