I'm just trying to build the most dominant team I can.....I wont lie though, I'm shying away from the guys on the down side of their respective careers....My main focus is on guys in their prime, and young studs that I think will develope into superstars. Not saying I won't take older players, just that it's not my main focus
I would rather take younger guys too but at this point in the draft I see two guys still at the top of their position, I'll take them. I had a younger guy I like as well but I'm not passing on these two guys here. They probably wouldn't survive much longer either.
I have drawn a line at about 25 yrs old for my players . I can't afford to pay any of the older all-pros until I get our Space Age Stadium built. It is going to resemble a space ship with arms coming straight out from it like an octopus when viewed from above. The arms will go out from the body of the stadium for about 1/3 to 1/2 mile and will be an A/C covered tubes containing a moving sidewalk to carry people from the parking lots to inside the stadium. The stadium will be enclosed with 3 sections built on top of each other. The very top one will actually slowly rotate around the field during the game with all seats costing the same and all fans in that top level being able to view the game from all 360 degrees. The middle level will be stationary with all the luxury seats and boxes being within the field of play. The lower level will be traditional stationary seats. The whole stadium will resemble a space station and will have an astrophysics theme throughout with the history of the NFL viewed through port holes throughout the stadium. And the icing on the cake will be the ceiling of the stadium will be an observatory simulating the night sky beyond our galaxy when the stadium is darkened at half-time and for special occassions, when fans will be able to take a journey throughout the cosmos.
It will cost up to twice as much as any stadium to date, so I have to be frugal with our dollars, yet still build an exciting young team that the fans will grow with and be thrilled for the future in anticipation of the stadium and playoff years to come.
Joe it kinda seems like the Eagles didn't learn from their last free agent splurge with some of the money their spending this offseason. Your thoughts?
Great stuff Floyd...really vivid. Just think, someday a guy in a Delorean (fully stocked with a state of the art" Flux Capacitor") might get all caught up in that....I trust you'll have the 1.21 gigawatts necessary to send him home.
