We can toss Jarvis Jones in this pot as well. He had a horrible pro-day and is projected to fall. If it is possible, I think Jones, Brown would probably make the best duo.

Ok. Time to update the list of players we could take in the draft.

Arthur Brown
Kasheem Greene
Alec Ogletree
Kevin Minter
Manti Te'o
Jarvis Jones

There are a few really good duos I like here. Brown is my favorite of all of them this year, followed by Ogletree.

Here's some duos I like from here.

Brown/Greene
Brown/Minter
Ogletree/Jones
Ogletree/Te'o
Minter/Greene

I prefer Brown and Greene the most because it looks like they'd have great team speed, which is what we need now in the middle.

Jarvis Jones was recently diagnosed with spinal stenosis.  The last thing we need is another pre-injured player.  Pass.

He was cleared of it, bear-man. His drop in stock is because he had a crummy pro day.

Brown and Green are slated to be Will and Sam LBs (brown the will); so Green is a great choice for 2nd round.  Brown I dont think is big enough to play Mike.  I love Brown, and wouldnt mind taking him round 1; but hes short.  Thats my knock on him.  He's 6 flat and some people say the cleats add the inch, so 5-10/5-11.  If he were 6'3 that would be prodigeous, which is why I like Ogletree.

No.  Manti.  Teo.

Right now, I would take 2 LBs in the 1, 2, and 4th picks.  Look into Zaviar Gooden, OLB from Missouri, compared to his predecessor Sean Weatherspoon in Atlanta.

2 LB spots are needed; and no J.T. Thomas like players please

I guess I'm more encouraged by Brown because he's about the same size as Patrick Willis and Ray Lewis.

I agree on Te'o. I'm more into faster players though.

Please note Bear-Man that BWW actually agrees with me on that. So. Yeah.

So. What?

Adam Schefter reporting D.J. Williams signing with the Bears.  Called it.

Love this signing, This guy is a 6 mil a year player who's had some troubles.  Definitely breaking the paradigm of "bears staying away from idiots."

Bears signed LB D.J. Williams, formerly of the Broncos, to a one-year contract.

Williams, who turns 31 before the season, was a highly productive and versatile starter in Denver from 2004-2011, before multiple 2012 suspensions cost him a spot in the Broncos' rotation. He's played weak-side, strong-side, and middle linebacker in his career. Williams' Bears contract will keep him motivated. The one-year deal has a base value of $900,000 -- none of which is guaranteed -- and Williams can earn up to $1.75 million via incentives.

Got him on the cheap. Has some upside. Good deal. Feeling a little better about the LBs. Got a body with starting experience!

Seems like a favorable contract. I am interested in seeing how well he will play.

The Bears may have gotten a better player, who is younger, and cheaper.  That would be very nice.

Here's hoping he pans out.

So does that mean, once released, Rolando McClain is next?  That is a scary road to walk down.  DJ Williams is low risk, possible high reward.  Not a guaranteed contract and 1 year means if he wants to keep playing he needs to play well.

Third--by no means a great, but D.J. Williams is available.  From the Broncos.  A 3-4 run defender, but a likely cheap option.  He'll be 31 in July, but everyone is avoiding him because of injury problems.  A decent 2 year filler I'd be down for signing......
No he isn't. He is with the Bears now.

Ding ding! You have picked correctly. Nice job

Like Marion Barber? I mean Sam Hurd? I mean pass-batting "I want a trade so I'm not going to practice" Brandon Marshall?

I like the signing too, but the Bears have brought in their fair share of idiots the past few seasons

Nice...

A repeat drug offender.

Then poured pig piss into the cup cuz he was about to fail again - and hoped they wouldn't figure it out.

A real winner.

Brandon Marshall was slapping passes down and not running routes when he wanted out of Denver. He made a bad enough impression for the Dolphins to get rid of him very cheaply.

Brian Urlacher knocked up two girls and dumped them for Paris Hilton, then challenged a UFC fighter at a bar because the guy accidently scuffed his shoes.

Lance Briggs was speeding on the express way drunk, crashed his Lambo, and then fled the scene.

Ray Lewis killed someone and then ratted his friends out to avoid jail time

Those don't sound like winners either.

Show me even one peice of solid evidence to prove he was drunk. Just one.

I'll wait right here.

I would say that having children with two different women out of wedlock and not being a father figure in their life and dating Hollywood's party animal is worse than being busted for weed. I can educate you on weed if you want. I'm not saying you are stupid or dumb or uneducated but the media and government have painted a menacing picture on weed (Reefer Madness).

Show me even one peice of solid evidence to prove he was drunk. Just one.

Sorry I misremembered the incident. He didn't drive drunk (there would be no evidence of it since he left the car on the E-Way), but I don't see any other logical reason (drunk driving is one of the most ILLOGICAL things someone can do) for him to crash his brand new car, panick, and run. He is innocent of a DUI, but I have always suspected it. He crashed his car and then lied and reported it stolen. USA today is saying that his story is wrong or mislead, like how police didn't report a call until 8am when he said he called at 4am.

Off the field issues doesn't necessarily mean that players are or are not winners/good pick ups.

The Bears got a younger, faster, healthier, better (not for his career obviously, but I think he is more skilled now), and cheaper LB

Bears reportedly close to signing D. Williams.  Suspended most of last season.  Deal is not garunteed and maxes out at 1.75mill.
