By the time the missus comes home from her Vancouver trip on Wednesday, she will have been gone for 12 of the last 16 days. I scheduled that day off. She's in for a long hump day. I'll be sure to get her some ice packs for Thursday.

I didn't watch any of the series clinching victory by the Heat over the Pacers last night and didn't even see a single pitch in any MLB game so I'm just now catching up on what happened last night in the sports world. Hakeem Nicks breaking his foot during a Giants OTA is surprising, but not as much as the Buccaneers trading Kellen Winslow to the Seahawks and then signing Dallas Clark to backfill his position.
I have cut Estle's lead in half (10 to 5 points) and now that he and I have the same number of SPs remaining (though he has one in a RP slot), I feel very comfortable that I will be able to reestablish my dominance before we get to the Sunday games. Even with Brian McCann having missed the entire week so far with an illness and Buster Posey having a great week on my bench, I still believe that my lineup is going to score over 300 points...only time will tell.
I had no success in making a trade for an elite hitter the last couple of days, but at least I'm not getting the "what are you smoking and why aren't you sharing" responses that came with some of the declines from trade offers presented earlier this season...I may be finally beginning to figure out how some of these owners value certain players....we'll see.
