The Beer Cart League

Time's running out RK. I think they disband a league if it isn't filled 24 hours before the draft. That leaves 1:05 left til CBS blows it up.

All right guys, don't expect anything much from me, but I will sign up for basketball just to try to get the league started for you.  Not the first time I did something dum_ and embarassed myself.

I signed up for a team but I can't find the league.  Can someone post a link here for me?  Or is it full already?

My apologies for the length of time my picks took mid-rounds, got called away and thought closed out on auto pilot, but I see my total time was over 13 mins, sorry.  But RK took over 14, pickin' next to me, so we together, ah, ah ah, we're full of thought but not to thoughtful. Again, I'm Sorry!

Nice, real nice.  I lose and have to take abuse for my QB choice.  Sorry fore the 'abuse', but comes with being THE winner of last year's league.  All I see is the whites of your eyes through my double-barrel fantasy pea-shooter! ( Big target, btw, must be nice to be 'a' Winner!)

WooHoo! I have claimed my 2nd victory of the season by knocking of one of the big dogs (Mesa Mongrels) by a whole 2 pts and it was all possible because of Brian Westbrook's unfortunate concussion. His kicker almost beat me on his own. 2 Pts, yes! I'll take it. Up next is the Nadless Lads. I hope he is still on his hike to search for the meaning of life so he can leave those bye week players slots empty. lol.

Yes, I'm back. I got home 2 days ago so I can't take too much credit for anything that's happened to my fantasy sports world the past 3 weeks. A shout out to my buddy for covering for me in my absence - super job. I did leave my "can't lose" sage-like fantasy recipe before I left.

As for my trip - it was awesome. It was both invigorating and cathartic. It's one of those events in life that you capture and keep in your memory so that you can replay and re-enjoy over and over again.  Oh I received my share of difficult moments as expected on a trip like this (the nicks, the bruises, and I'm pretty sure I froze one of my nads off) but even those are memories I wouldn't trade. In fact, they make the memories even more vivid. My only regret is that I didn't get to see a snipe or a talking dog like wilderness explorer Russell did in Pixar's movie "Up" - my new favorite movie by the way.

Welcome back, Nads.  I am glad to hear that you still actually had some nads to lose after the Coach "incident".  Smile
Speaking of Coach, my oldest daughter had to go back to work and her new job - selling Coach purses.  My youngest daughter's summer job was driving the beer cart at the local country club.  So you and the "Mrs." should both get along well with my offspring.
Back to football.  My upset pick of the day, at least I think it's an upset, is Philly over NYG.  I think McNabb gets back on track and he has a monster day throwing against the fairly weak Giants secondary.

Westbrook is inactive.  McCoy should do okay but not great.

Gosh Darn, Kind Sir, dropped another game, down 5.5 pts. now in power ranking and not a Brees maintaining Value against Gold in this market.  But still see possible 'Chink' in that Alloy Village armour.   Maybe Giarrard will be dropped this week for you to pick up, my Friend.

I'm trying very hard to keep tied with the Lions. That much should be obvious. Laughing

Thank God for a basketball bailout.
