I saw the newest Wrangler ad the other night......and at the end of the ad when Brett is leaning up against the truck......it actually does look like he has boobs.  Carl wasn't lying.

Getting older is tough. But, you'd think being an athlete just recently retired, he'd keep himself in shape.

Yup, I can't say I'm in optimal physical shape at the moment.......so I shouldn't laugh at him.

That really is a negative of being an athlete.  When you are holding more muscle/weight than you should and stop playing.......it certainly does become a pain when you are not competing/training everyday or may not even have the time to work out regularly.  It's not like the weight magically goes away. lol

I don't understand why Ron Jaworski "can't get over" tha fact that it took Brees 15 games to pass Marino?
It's 15 games.......but Brees has already thrown 58 more passes than Marino needed in 84'.

In 1984 the defenders were allowed to make contact with the receivers anywhere on the field until the ball was actually in the air. Much different then today's 5 yard chuck rule. Receivers got hit by linebackers, safties, and CB's on some plays. It's a totally different game today.

Nowhere else where this fits (as it's a rival) but just heard something I was unaware of.......

The Patriots did not beat a winning team this year.
They beat quite a few 8-8 teams, but they were the #1 seed without beating one winning team.

I guess maybe that does go with the discussions about the schedule and how things sometimes can break in your favor.......pretty crazy.

That's insane. 

The NFL is celebrated by many for it's "parity" - there are many reasons for this, shorter season than most sports, the impact of injuries and importance of "team", but one of the biggest is the unbalanced schedule.
More examples of teams that may have benefited from favorable schedules - two teams outof the mix last year, but made it this year,,,,,

Cincinnati - Won one game vs. a winning team (They beat 9-7 Tenn.)
Detroit - Did not win a game vs. a winning team.
