No big deal as far as I'm concerned. Would it have been nice to get him? Absolutely, but I wasn't very optomistic from the get go. I don't think the Yanks need him anyway, especially not for seven years at $20+ mil per. They already have too many big contracts like that. With that said, I have a feeling the Yanks will make a move before long and land another decent starter. They'll still be good no matter what, that lineup of their's is still stacked. One thing I have been hoping for is seeing that Pettitte comes back for one last season.
