Gin and juice, hell I might even listen to Dr. Dre while I'm at it, we should have self imposed a bowl ban this year...ARG!!

that I agree with.  I'm not sure how they though that 5 total schollies and 2 year's probation would cut it.  It was a transition year with an interim coach that was gone unless he won 9 or 10 games including Michigan so why not just throw the NCAA the bone and ban it this year?  they've been far too reactive in this whole process.

The first time I saw joe bauserman throw a pass if I were the president, I would have declared self imposed bowl ban for this year.

Gee and Smith were actually way too cocky during this process, they were caught with their pants down today because a team of legal experts advised them on what the NCAA's prescients have been? Prescients? No two have ever been the same!

Well if Brutis is done with his self wallowing I shall continue. College Football: the bowl games get a little hotter won't be long now till our game begins. NFL playoffs looming and things beginning to clarify. How about the Detroit Lions? Man I love this game. Rock on amigos. The party has yet to begin.  Oh and Merry Christmas, or Happy Holdays if you prefer to all.

Once in a time not so really far away lived a poster, a wonderful man to many and not so much to others. He had wit and courage to point out the truth until one stormy dark day. It all stopped. The Man besides himself began to medditate, no avail. Next he tried levitation but that too failed. Then he made the simple  proclamcation " Nebraska. There is no place like Nebraska" and suddenly all was well in the world

Hello wmich,UMfire,Brutis,Bishop and all B1Gers.
Well the NCAA came down with their ruling on OSU and now the school can move forward knowing exactly what the punishment is. Brutis the world isn't coming to an end and would say that the NCAA was more than fair with their decision.
UMFire   SamAy-akh Hanukkah to you and your family

I wonder what the undisclosed disciplinary reason was... it won't change my pick in the game but it will increase my confidence in picking OU.  I will say as long as Iowa has McNutt they have a chance.  He was not an easy man to cover, my like Floyd for ND.

Morning all.  Only a few more days left of my brutal 7 day a week schedule.  So yeah as you have pointed out Coker is out for the bowl game...talk about someone crapping in your fruit cake.  With no real run threat, I definitely don't see the Hawks pulling the W out now.  Just one year, could the Hawks play someone at full strength?  Is that too much to ask, Santa?  Anyway the wifey is actually up tonight, so I am gonna spend some QT with her, if you know what I am saying.....Heyo!!!Cool

Ducks a 6 point fav. That is good with the Underdog role. Hope we get red this year or is it by BCS ranking that determines home from away?

Happy Wednesday back to you SC, Beat those damm Ducks. They tend to fold in big games. Pound the ball, own the clock keeping their offense on the sidelines is my advise

Evening SC, wmich, Dee, Dutch, and Loose.  My apologies for forgetting to lock that tool shed up, I won't let it happen again Wink

wmich, I wish you a very speedy recovery.  I hear Hanukkah Harry grants wishes this time of year Laughing

SC, what I like about the spread is once the kickoff happens it's all thrown out the window and the better team will show itself.  Good luck to your badgers and go B1G!

Howdy Wmich.  It's more than one mans opinion.  I think most people would agree that tOSU got less than a slap on the wrist.  Heck, even Herbie the Homer laughed at the "punishment" imposed on the Bucks.  9 scholarships over 3 years, and a bowl ban in a year that most would say will be a rebuilding year anyway?  Not bashing Buckeye fans by any means, but they should be celebrating today.  No more cloud hanging over the program, and the sanctions were definitely on the lower end of the spectrum...just ask USC.

OSU definitely got off easy compared to others.  Sweater Vest probably got what he deserved though.  The two B1G bowls I am looking forward to most are the Sugar and Outback.

I think most Buckeye fans, myself included, agree that things could have been much worse and are okay with the penalties levied by the NCAA, the anymosity lies in no one wanting to be associated with laughingstocks, which is what Gee and Smith are now. OSU is allready associated with arrogance and the arrogance displayed by those two thinking that they could get away with playing a bowl game this year was just headscratching. Hopefully we stay clean and do right and display good sportsmanship from here forward.

Michigan and Illinois?  Cool

Oh, wait... it's the second year after Zook gets fired that the team wins a NT.  Michigan and Wisconsin, I bet SC would look absolutely ravishing in maize and blue.  It was such a great color, well colors, on both you [wmich] and loose.

Next year in the legends I really think it's gonna be Michigan. It will be year two in their system and Denard is poised to have a monster year, Michigan also has, as of now, the #3 recruiting class with good enough players that some will contribute immediately. I think Nebraska will outduel MSU for the second place in the legends.
In the leaders, you have to look at PSU, Illinois,Purdue and Indiana and like Ohio State and Wisky's chances. I have not seen how many seniors Wisky has or how many players they will have leaving so I am having a hard time assessing if they will be as good next year, they will have some drop off at QB but that does not necessarily hurt them. their recruiting is not doing so well as of yet but that's not going to be a big factor for next year at least. The winner probably comes down to OSU at Wisky which favors them.
