Roto: New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin was added to the Rising Stars game as part of next weekend's All-Star festivities in Orlando. Lin has become an overnight sensation, leading the Knicks to seven straight wins. He was chosen for Team Shaq in the new format of the contest that features first-year and second-year players on February 24. The game previously matched rookies against the sophomores, but this year's contest will combine the players into teams that were selected by Shaquille O'Neal and Charles Barkley.

 

Roto: The Knicks will apparently be adding another piece, as free agent swingman J.R. Smith has tweeted that he will be joining the Lin-sanity in New York. There has been no official word from the Knicks, but Smith's tweet read "New York Knicks It Is!" Smith, a career 37.1 percent three-point shooter, had been playing in China during the NBA lockout and couldn't return until after the season concluded in Asia. A teammate of current Knicks star Carmelo Anthony in Denver, Smith has averaged 12.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 503 games with the Hornets and Nuggets.

Roto:  First-round play at the Northern Trust Open in southern California is nearly complete after Thursday's action was halted because of darkness. Phil Mickelson, fresh off his title at Pebble Beach last weekend, sits atop the leaderboard at Riviera Country Club after carding a five-under 66 on Thursday. He owns a one-shot lead over Hunter Mahan and J.B. Holmes, with Jonathan Byrd, Carl Pettersson and Troy Matteson next at minus-three.

Hey there Mike.  Great day off.  It was a tropical 50 degrees here today, so I grabbed a 6'er and took the special lady friend out disc golfing.  Shot -1 which is pretty damn good by my estimation.  Slow day around this place...where is everybody?
