Everybody loves Sandy Alomar but hed be a 1st time skipper & we all know how that works out most of the time. Esp in the constant rebuilding mode weve been in since 07. Sizemore, Hafner, Carnandez & Ubaldo'll probly all be gone. To much dead weight there

Might as well embrace Aroid if that's the case. Youk is decent but nothing special with his best days behind him too. Yanks don't have to do as much as people are saying, just a few changes, Aroid ain't going anywhere so I'm over it. Swish is gone, try to find a younger replacement for him even if not in their prime as of yet, re-sign Kuroda, proved he can pitch in NY which is hard to find and replace Martin. Only one I'd overpay for at this point is (even though I don't like his demeanor) Soriano, gonna need insurance if Mariano doesn't come back 100% and he's also proved he can handle the pressure. Shop Joba or Roberston for some of their needs. Should be interesting.

John Farrell is a  Great pickup. And most of all, the players respect him. That in it self makes it 10x better then last season. Respect and team chemistry can get you a long way

Well Farrells got history with the Sox. Also the Indians. Pitched for us during our 'glory' yrs (as it were LOL) & he lives in Westlake about 4 or 5 miles from me 

Your dead on about team chemistry RSF...there wasnt any under Valentine & it was falling apart under Tito the last yr or so. I also think our team will get a big morale boost with Tito. Whatever chemistry there with Acta at the helm seemed to fall apart this season as well

Would make sense to say it helps having someone you already know at the helm, will see how it goes once it comes time to play the games. One thing is for certain, can only get better for the Sox after this past season.
