Remember a few drafts ago Rahim Moore caught my eye, but I fell into the trap like so many others and looked at his 10 picks, more or less playing the Paul Krause position. (for those under 50, Google him).

2009 Steelers Draft and Mel Kiper Sucks ThreadSeptember 21, 2012 3:21 pm
Well I had to look up the all-time career leaders in interceptions. Guess who is tied for #8? Dick Lebeau and......Dave Brown. Brown was drafted by the Steelers, played one year for them, and then was taken by Seattle in the expanssion draft. Those Steeler teams were so incredibly deep that their castoffs were stars on other teams.

bb,
Let us know if any RB from Baylor catch your eye. bwahahahaha... LOL. sorry sore subject, but pretty FUNNY. John Jenkins, would we crap a sailboat if Colbert took a NT in the first round, that would be 3 DT in 5 years. This kid is huge, has talent, eats up space, half to decide if he has the motor. This is the farewell tour for Casey Hampton, IMHO. all, Unlike Walter Football, I do not think they go WR in round one, I am thinking DB, LB, or DL. And I doubt they go OL. I hope Leveon Bell is there in the second. Start of the year I told you he was a beast, now he is a late second or early third rounder. Meanwhile Montee Ball is dropping like Enron. ![]() ny |

I am thinking DB, LB, or DL. And I doubt they go OL. That's the same way I'm thinking they go and that's why I can see Jefferson at the end of the first round. His stock should only go up just hopefully not out of reach. If not I would prefer they waited and tried to snag Robert Lester if his stock stays about where it is or possibly even drops a little. Sean Porter is a possibility for me in the second but if Jefferson is gone and they wait to go after Lester they better look at OLB in the first round and the player I like in the lower third of that round would be Alex Okafor. I like Okafor a lot but he would be Woodley instead of Harrison and unless the Steelers would choose to make the move to putting 2 DEs and 2 OLBs at the line on nickel and dime situations (which I am a big advocate of by the way) I'm not sure it would translate as well as Porter and Woodley together in the base 3-4. All in all I think they would hit a pair of homers either way but I guess I'm leaning towards Jefferson and Porter. Meanwhile Montee Ball is dropping like Enron No O-line and his getting a lot of mileage under his belt. Its a shame really because he is a natural ball player who could make a real nice impact given the right situation. Would anyone consider Eifert as the bottom of the first? I would cast a no vote but given how the NFL is constantly evolving I'm wondering how long the trend of TEs putting up ridiculous numbers will continue? My money says that defenses will make the adjustment but it is an interesting trend. |
