Do you not understand that WHATEVER team LeBron James is on for as long as he is in his prime will have an excellent chance to win?WHATEVER team? Didn't you say that the Cavs would never win with James and that justified his 'Decision'?

That's not what I said. I REPEATED that James said that he was going to choose the situation which gave him his best chance(s) to win titles during this contract period. Looking at the Cavs roster/cap space situation AT THAT TIME vs the situation Miami was is, it was a no brainer. When I said 'whatever' team, it was under the assumption that James is placing himself in situations where winning is priority #1. I personally (which means nothing) think Gilbert lost the respect of James when he wrote that letter on the night of the decision and for that reason I feel James would never go back to Cleveland. Let's pretend James is open to going back. If after another 2 years Kyrie is becomming elite, if the Cavs hit on their draft picks between now and then, have some cap space to fill out the roster, and James went back. Then yes, the Cavs certainly could be contenders again IMO. |
