Unless the Lakers make a trade, their bench won't be better. Rashard and Ray are better than anything the Lakers have coming off their bench. Through 5 games both Allen and Lewis have scored double digits in 3 of the 5 games. Lewis looks rejuventated which is not a good thing for the rest of the NBA. |

"yeah, but THIS year's just getting started. can't base it off that as it's WAY too early..."
How is it too early to evaluate the Lakers bench? Is there some hidden jewel sitting there? It isn't like you are bringing along some rookies and can hope to see some improvement through experience. Rememeber how you ripped the Heat bench in Big 3 year 1? That Heat bench was better this Laker bench (had they stayed healthy). Anyway, I only saw the 4th qtr of Lakers game, but it didn't look good. How many times did Kobe pass the ball the last 5+ minutes? Answer is ZERO. What happened to the new gonna throw it to the big guys Kobe we kept hearing about? Don't say it would have been different if Nash was there, becasue if Kobe wants theball, he will have the ball. The Utah announcers said that Kobe looked beyond frustrated already and pretty much wasn't interested in the 1st 3 qrts. Did you see Kobe walk off the court before the game ended? Hurricane season is coming to an end in South Florida, but a big strom is about to be brewing in L.A. |
