Hey my peeps , sorry haven't been around much.
Been busy at work and then my sickness the last month and half.
Gotta tell ya, was pretty bad there for a bit.
Started the end of Sept when I was feeling ill and went to Urgent Care and they said I had a Kidney Infection.
They gave me Meds which didn't do anything for me for three days, so I went to my Doc and he switch me to a different Antibiotic.
Started to feel better and the infection was going away, so I went to work on that Friday.
On Sunday started to feel weird, was getting numbness and tingling in my hands & feet and my balance was off. Went to see my Doc and he thought it might be an allergetic reaction to the meds, so he switch me to another antibiotic.
Still nothing and by day four was getting worse, the numbness & tingling was traveling up my arms and legs. Balance was so bad could hardly walk or use my hands, and I was even losing my strength, it was real tough.
Called the Doc again and he referred me to a Neurologist, they said couldn't see me for three weeks. Can you believe that!
Had my wife take me to OSU Medical Emer. Took me in back right away and emitted me to Hospital within 2hrs.
They pretty much knew what it was and didn't want to take a chance it could get worse.
I had gotten Guillian-Barre Syndrome, it's an Auto-immune thing that attacked my nerves(look it up)
So, spent 1 week at OSU for the treatment, another week at Mount Carmel Hosp. for in-patient therapy and another 2 1/2 weeks of out-patient therapy.....sheesh
Starting to get better. Getting my strength back. I can walk a good distance, but can't quite run yet.
Still have the numbness, which will take sometime to go away...ugh.
Finally back to work. I can do my job, just a little slower and be more careful.
Just never want to get this again, and the Doc's say I shouldn't.

So, this my story and sticking to it.

Cleve, knew you were ill my friend, but not to that extent.  Glad to know you're on the mend buddy.  Know your family is thrilled also.

Abez, the march towards super conferences in college sports continues buddy.  Even though they keep denying it.  LOL  Don't mind Maryland, but not a fan of Rutgers being in the mix.  Guess if they can keep calling it the B1G 10 with 12 teams they can push it again with 14.  Seems stupid though.




It's Meeeeecheeeeegan Week in Columbus, Ohio.  Dem Wolvermeenees come calling this Saturday at The Shoe.  Hoping the BEST ineligible college football team in the nation can end this year on a 12-0 note. 



Phoggy, Jim, Larry, et al...with Barkley out for the Condoms, and them being a four loss team anyway, guess you can purchase those tickets for the NC. 

I still believe the team playing the best college football right now though is Texas A&M.  Johnny Manziel is a QB beast, and only a freshman.

Seems that you contracted one of those rare SOBs that, whether you want to or not, offer-up an awfully lot of time to think... which is at some point or another, about all that one can do!

Don't for get that each passing day brings you closer to recovery and that the worst is well behind you.

I reckon there's no need to say, "Take Care".  But, I will sat that

Supposed to be the big "Go-out" night around here. Not me though. Stay in and have a few, we travel tomorrow. 2 hr drive, no big deal, spend the night at the inlaws and come back home. Dig the long weekends and the Cuse plays Princeton tonight. I think P stills slows it down. Hoping for a win and a good practice for Georgetown, they always take the air out of the ball against SU.
