Sorry Monte, but a fan of TSUN does not get to chime in putting down what they think are the "cheaters" and not get reminded of the probation up north. I did not start that others did.

ok Monte, lets not get carried away here....really the only crime was Tressell feeling the need to lie and cover it up. You cant honestly think that players selling their OWN stuff for tattoos, etc is that big of a deal.

So a booster gives a kid a gold charm, he then sells that charm for cash to a citizen...Thats ok? Man, ohio dillusion as always!! How about a coach autographing a picture, he then takes that picture to a local drug dealer who owns a barber shop who give that kid a large bag of marijuana....Thats ok? Man, ohio dillusion as always!! What about a kid under investigation for accepting a car showing up to a team meeting in a car with "dealer plates" while driving on a suspended liscense...Thats o.k.? Man ohio dillusion as always.
Yeah, we know denard was found for driving with expired tags and a suspended liscense....we know gosucks, que my personal troll. |

The same players sold their gold pants, and other items that they owned to a tattoo parlor owner who was also being investigated by the FBI. I do not condone Pryor rolling up in a 350Z, no matter how he got it, just doesnt look good. Players sold items that they OWNED. Tressell shouldnt have covered it up, he should have given all he knows to the NCAA but he didnt. If this happened to scUM i would be saying the same thing. |

So a booster gives a kid a gold charm, he then sells that charm for cash to a citizen... A booster didn't give him anything,... the school did. Nobody sold anything for cash... Swing and miss again! How about a coach autographing a picture, he then takes that picture to a local drug dealer who owns a barber shop who give that kid a large bag of marijuana....Thats ok? Mario Manningham did have autographed items on ebay when he failed his two drug tests.. Good point! What about a kid under investigation for accepting a car showing up to a team meeting in a car with "dealer plates" while driving on a suspended liscense...He bought the car, investigated and cleared... Yeah, we know denard was found for driving with expired tags and a suspended liscense....He was pulled over at 1:30 in the morning after not playing because he was injured... ![]() "Can't teach stupid!" |

Yes RROD was stupid enugh to try to squeeze in some extra practice time but seriously, are you going to say that a little extra practice time is comparable to athletes selling memorabilia, free tats, knowingly playing ineligible players, and lying to the NCAA several times for months on end???? Because free tats makes you faster on the field? Kids get tats free or discounted all over the place. Coaches know about it as well. Don't kid yourself...Your coach and his staff lied for years at two different schools, shreaded documents when it came up, and tossed an asst. coach under the bus to save his hid... Bringing that comparison is not what you want to do, IMHO... For the record, all schools practice more than allowed as well... |
