Explain to us again why I cant compare Mo Clarett's only year at tOSU to that of Barry Sanders?

Barry Sanders Freshman at Ok State:
74 att, 324 yrds = 4.4 yrds/carry and 2 TDs

Mo Clarett Freshman at tOSU:
222 att, 1,237 yrds = 5.6 yrds/carry and 18 TDs


Wow, if you really need it explained to you a major reason why Clarett had better numbers than Sanders was because Sanders was behind all american Thurman Thomas.

Still enjoying the last game the Buckeyes won.  Still be enjoying that one come September, I bet.  What will Michigan fan choose to 'enjoy' heading into next year: losing to Ohio State, losing to South Carolina, or acting like their tier III bowl appearance is what they expected coming into the season?

OSU would've been a BCS team this year, and that is disappointing.  But we knew that before the season kicked off, so we're kinda over it.   And honestly, the Bowl Season is kinda nice this year.  It's not all about our one game, there is no stress involved, and we don't have to deal with the frustration that would have come had we been held out of the BCS Title Game due to the weakness of the Big Ten. 

And it's nice to see the Bobcats roll in their game.  Spent a few years in Athens and it was a blast.  You remember the Bobcats, right?  Dumped the skunks out of the NCAA tourney last year?  And I'm killing it in my work pick em.  Long way to go, but off to a great start.

So yeah, I personally am loving this bowl season. 

How amazing is it 10 years later people are still talking about Mo Clarett.  

Lets be honest....1,200 yrds rushing, 18 TDs and a BCS NC for a true frosh will do that.

Somehow I have a feeling they never stepped out of the door, since Brady Hoke Hasn't brought in and signed a single florida recruit since he has been the coach..

Maybe not, but there are surrounding states with recruits that came in..added all the AA Game kids, it was nice for UofM and the program.

The longer Hoke is there this Michigan team is looking worse.

As much as I wish I could hang more unsavory facts on that carpet bagging defesively challenged inept head coach Rich Rod I can't hang lying to the NCAA! It was an assistant and UofM fired him after the sanctions!

I've heard a lot of funny things but comparing Clarett to Sanders is beyond laughable. The reason Sanders didn't get a lot of touches his freshman and soph. years is becuase he played behind Thurman Thomas. Maybe you heard of him. If not, check out his bust in Canton.

I didn't believe anything Clarett said when he was at Ohio State. WHy would I bleieve him ow? Athough I have to say, he did get real serious for a while there when he was in jail. Now he's back to beign good ole Maurice again. I don't mind posting, but I'm not going to read the whole thread or the article. The guy will always be imature, even when he's 90. I remember he charged Ohio State had provided him with illegal benefits. He thought providing him with a tutor was an illegal benefit. He thought a totuor helping him focus while he wrote an essay was cheating. If you get into Maurice and what he thinks you're entering a minefield of broken thoughts.
