It's not just that Nash is back and making an obvious difference, but more importantly that Kobe is more than willing to allow Nash to orchestrate things down the stretch in crunch time. Lakers D looking solid too - Metta was awesome in his relative containment of 'Melo, and Dwight was just huge defending the paint. Had to also love the great D by Jodie Meeks on JR on that last key Knicks possession.

good win for Lakers today.. but honestly.. how in the world do the refs miss that out of bounds call of Melo right at the end? they had replay.. nothing will be done, but those refs should be investigated over that. that wasnt even close when you got replay. kobe hits it.. it clearly rolls of Melo's hand. i need that explained.

Those refs missed a lot of calls today. MWP & Chandler both fouled out on bogus calls.

I also think that Dwight Howard is being very harshly officiated overall, for some strange reason unbeknownst to me. He really doesn't seem to be allowed to guard anyone one-on-one - he's given absolutely zero leeway. And that traveling call on him on that breakaway dunk was a joke.

And that traveling call on him on that breakaway dunk was a joke. You must not have seen the replay or they didn't show one. Dwight takes damn near 4 steps. [http://assets.sbnation.com/assets/1 919657/dwighthowardtravel_medium.gi f] |

You must not have seen the replay or they didn't show one. Dwight takes damn near 4 steps. Yeah, got a kick out of Dwight half-heartedly complaining about it too. I counted 3 and a half steps. At first I thought, it looked weird, then they showed the replay and saw that it looked weird because he took too many steps. |

Yeah, it was a obvious travel but you rarely see them call that in the NBA. Yesterday was some great basketball. |

Those refs missed a lot of calls today. MWP & Chandler both fouled out on bogus calls. At least they missed them on both ends of the floor and all you can ask is that they call the game consistent. Example, Kobe totally held Carmelo on that play at the end when the Knicks threw the ball out of bounds!! |

If Kobe shot .263 like Westbrook did tonight, Laker haters would be having a field day!

Join the "Heat Haters" club now!"December 8, 2012 5:03 pmAmazing Thunder team? You mean the one who the Heat beat 4/5 (while they had Harden)? If they are amazing, then what the hell are we? Supersonic? No, actually your team is pretty subsonic at the moment - this Thunder team, even without Harden, would rip you to shreds the way you guys are playing!" Remember this one Jefe? The Thunder is a great, complet, deep team and if my math is correct, we have beaten them 5 straight now. What you saw tonight is a Finals rematch preview. James /Durant are the 2 best players in the league. It is what it should be. Once again, the difference was the Heats bench. How about Chalmers? What he did tonight, is exactly what Flague was talking about. |

I'll admit this was a HUGE game for Miami...didn't think they would do it...but you must admit when the game was almost done and it was 1 point time winding Bronny was not going near that ball!?!?! Fear the Throw hahaha

There's no reason for LBJ to go near the ball when Allen is by far the better shooter. With that lineup on the court, only Bosh and Allen should be getting the ball when you know the opponent is going to foul

good win Lakers... Knicks have struggled lately R.Felton has gone cold the last 6 or 7 gms... good win Heat... OKC is a good team but Miami is a bad match-up for them they have nothing in the post with perkins and Westbrook is still inconsistent down the stretch putting up bad shots. Heat weakness is down low and a playmaking PG.. OKC his no post gm and a inconsistent pg... Rockets have blownout the Knicks,Memphis and the Bulls ON THE ROAD... they IMO are a playoff team barring injury a 6,7 or 8th seed...

Allen is a career 90% FT shooter. More then 10% higher then James. James is smart. James isn't worried about a scoring title. He wants a championship. If Allen were on the Lakers, would you want him on the line or Kobe? You have Nash now, he is in the same class as Allen. If Nash and Kobe are both on the court, who do you think will shoot technicals? WHo do you think they will try to inbound to in late, close game situations? |

. " My point is the Lakers are ultimately in total control of their own destiny. "
Claasic. Ignore all time history and retaliate with this? You won't answer the other question, so let's try another. Name ANY team which does not control their own destiny once the playoffs start until they lose for a 4th time? |
