Current Commit List (Jan. 6 UPDATE)January 10, 2013 1:03 am
just a quick update... ESPN just rated Maliek Collins (3-Star 1 point beneath a 4-star at 79) and Kevin Maurice (3-Star at 74) But have not updated their rankings to reflect it yet... so here's the updated look.
Class Ranking (Jan. 9)
Scout.com - 12th (10 Four Stars 8 Three Stars 2 Two Star) [20 commits]247Sports - 16th (8 Four Stars 10 Three Stars 2 Two Star) [20 commits] 247SportsComposite - 17th (7 Four Stars 11 Three Stars 2 Two Star) [20 commits] ESPN - 27th (9 Four Stars 10 Three Stars 1 Two Star) [20 Commits] Rivals.com - 21st (5 Four Stars 12 3 Stars 2 Two Star) [19 commits] [For some reason Rivals doesn't consider DJ Singleton a 2013 commit] |

Current Commit List (Jan. 10 UPDATE)January 10, 2013 3:20 pm
Recruiting sites are constantly updated their info... got some new rankings according to the major sites today. Nebraska moved up one in the ESPN.com rankings after landing Newby and ESPN bumped Knevel to a 4-star rating. Rivals, Scout and 247 are the same. Scout already released their final rankings Rivals and 247 are expected to do so sometime within the next week and a half. I would expect Nebraska to move up in both Rivals and 247's rankings after that happens.
Class Ranking (Jan. 10)
Scout.com - 12th (10 Four Stars 8 Three Stars 2 Two Star) [20 commits]247Sports - 16th (8 Four Stars 10 Three Stars 2 Two Star) [20 commits] 247SportsComposite - 17th (7 Four Stars 11 Three Stars 2 Two Star) [20 commits] ESPN - 26th (10 Four Stars 9 Three Stars 1 Two Star) [20 Commits] Rivals.com - 21st (5 Four Stars 12 3 Stars 2 Two Star) [19 commits] [For some reason Rivals doesn't consider DJ Singleton a 2013 commit] Again, if Rivals added Singleton Nebraska would most likely jump up to 18th or 19th in their rankings. |

ESPN hasn't updated their rankings. |

has ESPN not updated its rankings or do they really hate NU that much? just seems odd that even Rivals has us at a higher rank without DJ then ESPN does with him.

Don't pay much attention to ESPN IMO... they are getting better at recruiting but they still cater to the SEC and the West Coast. If Johnny Stanton had committed to UCLA he would be a top 100 QB right now. Same goes for Terrell Newby. ESPN hasn't even rated Cethan Carter yet (probably a three star). I think Nerbaska ends with a Top 25 class on ESPN and top 15 on the other sites (including Rivals)

thanks Nut, I'm glad you keep us all informed on this stuff. I don't know what I'd do if you weren't.
I think I remember you mentioning ESPN being like that before, I just forgot. |

Nut, who are the 5 most coveted players (in your opinion) that we can still get for this class?

Current Commit List (Jan. 17 UPDATE)January 18, 2013 6:01 pm
Schlinn:
1. Priest Willis (4-Star DB) uncommitted 2. James Clark (4-Star WR) uncommitted 3. Dwayne Johnson (3-Star OL) uncommitted 4. Chucky Williams (3-star ATH) Ole Miss 5. Matt Finnin (3-Star JUCO OL) uncommitted These are the top 5 for me... with perhaps Chongo Kondolo swapped for Finnin, but I put Finnin there based on need. Nebraska still has a very outside shot at Kenny Lacy. If we can close with three of these five that would be great. |

Man I must have missed something along the way. I thought we were setting up for a high drama signing day (as in a handful of 4 stars deciding). As you state it, it looks like just two. Again not to say a 3 star can't or won't contribute but the bottom line is they aren't the "high profile" guys.

Current Commit List (Jan. 17 UPDATE)January 18, 2013 9:16 pm
Most of the high profile guys we were/are in on have either already committed to us or some place else. Trevell Dixon is a signing day decision probably and he's a 4-star on Rivals and ESPN.

its incredible, we are 12th in scouts, and all the way to 26th in ESPN. Very interesting. Anyways, it would be great if finish really strong here, and get into the top 15 of all rankings.
