Where are all the QUALIFIED black HCs?

The Rooney Rule exists to offer opportunity - if you can't even get an interview you don't get a chance.  But a team should not be put in a numbers position - there are not enough "minority" coaches therefore you have to have one.  How stupid is that?  So what can the NFL do?  Ask the Chiefs why they wanted a coach who went to how many Championship games with a QB who pukes under pressure?  Ask the Chargers why they wanted a coach who created an offense for two so different QBs in Tebow and Manning YET GOT to the playoffs with both?  Why the Bears gave up on Lovie after having too many years out of the playoffs (the Vikings making it instead surely was the killer blow) and went with a QB guru?

Its a no-brainer and the NFL should simply try to ensure there are ample overall coaching opportunities for minority coaches - be that d-line, RB, whatever and not just co-ordinator roles.  They have to earn their stripes as any coach - from the ground up.  Many will in years to come I am sure.  Its a pity many coaches (of any race) are not like Tony Dungy.  He was a class act and you cannot replicate that with "rules".

Giving them an interview doesn't guarantee them a chance either. If the candidates you're interested in happen to be white, then you shouldn't be forced to arbitrarily talk to random people you have no interest in hiring. You're wasting both parties' time.

Here in the  USA we all have been conditioned to be in a more "even steven" mentallity.
You know "the everyone wins" epic notion!!!!

Look if your kid comes in 3rd place in a 50 yrd dash ...they are the winner as well !!!!

I understand now the concept of equality must be upheld at the cost of 'merits'  or achievements.

Example.............

We understand you went to college for 4 yrs and had  above avg grades, BUT there is a need for a  "  " person and under the "fairness doctrine"  we must hire a less qualified individual.

I know as an Amercian I must keep the "hope and change" doctrine in tact.

Am I in agreement with this nonsense?

No !!!! but who am I to dissagree with the
"messiah"?

Peace.
