I think Yakubov's celebration and Kane's hair will do more good for league interest than a Toews or Crosby interview, a Quick or Brown's F-bomb riddled response (they don't sound bright), or TT's sabbaticals and politics.

I  couldn't agree more.  For the record I absolutely loved Yakupov's celebration.  For myself and many others like me on these boards the NHL doesn't have to do a whole lot to keep me interested because I'm not going anywhere.  But if they want to grow this game in the U.S we need more talented and exciting players like Yakupov who actually love the game of hockey the way he does.  He's a 19 year old kid who just scored his first HUGE goal in the NHL.  And make no mistake people that goal was MASSIVE for many reasons. For one thing they just had a goal disallowed a minute prior to that which should have tied the game.  Another thing to remember is the beat down they took a couple days earlier in their home opener against the Sharks.  On their way to another loss until Yakupov saves the day.  I say good for the kid... slide away little buddy... slide awaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy  !!!!   LOL 

As for Kane and his haircut, I think that's a whole lot better for the game of hockey then abusing cab drivers or having pictures taken of him at frat parties. 

By the way we finally know the real reason Holmstrom retired.  The way they're calling the in the crease and goaltender interference penalties he would have been pretty useless this year.  Seriously, things would have gotten super ugly in Detroit.  I think they would have set a record this year for the most disallowed goals. 

I liked the slid. The timing made it right. Now if he does that when his team is down 4 goals and he scores to make it a 4-1 game than its just lame. The only goal celebration I thought was dumb was Ovechkin stupid stick on fire thing. I did kind of laugh at this one when his teammates went to celebrate with him and he took off and they had to chase him 175 ft to get to him.

Mathematical Breakdown:
The formula for the  total money on the sales of sheep (10x+y)² = 100x² + 20xy + y² . 
It won't matter what the of the values of x and y, 100x² + 20xy will be divisible by 20.
Should be 6 $1 bills left. The first brother will have $4 more than the other one. A $2 check will make it even.

Patrick Marleau is on fire. 2 goals again today and its only the 1st period. 4 straight games to start the season with 2 at least 2 goals for Marleau.

Did they change the rule on instigating? I thought you only got the extra 2 minutes (meaning 19 minutes) for wearing a shield if the other guy doesn't have one on. I thought it was worded "more face protection".

And the Sharks announcers and NHLNetwork guys are calling it a perfectly clean hit. I'm I the only one that thinks it looks like a forearm to the head?
