Irish, I cant even believe u suggested that trade w the NYJ.....LOL!!!!!!!! Did u really think thats all they would want for Revis is freakn Buster Skrine and 3 draft slots? If Lombardi/Banner pulled that off, he would get exec of yr the next day.No, I don't think that is all they would WANT for Revis... Do you think a team is going to give up a first and second round draft pick for a player with a one year contract? ![]() Ok...If your answer is no, then you have to have a willing team to sign said player to a multiple year deal when discussing this trade. This is going to be a very difficult trade to pull off. How many of these teams being thrown out as trade partners have all the elements needed to make this a worth while deal for the Jets? Do you trade him to the Patriots who are in your division? Nope... Do you trade him to the Dolphins who are in your division? Nope... Do you trade him to other "contenders" who badly need a CB to get them over the edge? Steelers? Check out their salary cap, they can't absorb $16M per year for a CB. Redskins? See the above answer, they are close to the same situation as the Steelers. So instead of making a statement like "Irish, I cant even believe u suggested that trade w the NYJ.....LOL!!!!!!!! Did u really think thats all they would want for Revis is freakn Buster Skrine and 3 draft slots?" Stop being so ignorant and post a more likely trade angle...Can't do it? Then, live with the fact, that trade scenario is just as likley as Revis merely staying with the Jets in his final year of his contract. Thanks to Beach pointing out the salary cap hit is even worse in a trade scenario, I think that will be the ultimate outcome. |
