IMO, what is wrong with the health care system ...No it's called a free market, along with what happens when the govt. pokes it's nose in said free market.
There are different rates/costs depending on what insurance you have or do not have.
For example, there is one charge if you are on Medicare/Medicaid (any provider that does business with the program has to accept the rate that Medicare/Medicaid deems appropriate), there is usually a different charge if you have Blue Cross, then there may be another different charge if you have Prudential, etc etc etc for all the insurance companies and then there is even another different charge/rate if you self-pay.
Needless to say this is totally unfair and borderline discrimination.
Until we have uniform charges, the system is a joke.
