With the 30th pick in the 2013 NFL draft

I think highly of the skills of Eddie Lacy but tbh I would be suprised if he lasted that long.  Some mocks have him going much higher.  Supposedly besides Lacy's running ability he is also a good receiver and pass blocker so he would have all the essential tools.

I know many mock drafts expect us to take a TE with the first pick because they are assuming that Tony Gonzalez is retiring (which I think is accurate about him) but I am not quite so sure even if he retires that a TE is what the Falcons take.

I believe it will all go down to who is left available at the time and Mike Nolan might get a quality defensive player.  I guess we will all see when the time comes.

Go defensive or offensive lineman in the 1st round no since in taking a runningback that high with so many other important options out there.

I would love the TE from N.D. but i don't think he will fall that far. Others mocks have us taking the DE from Oregon....Depends on how much Nolan wants to play the 3-4

With the 30th pick in the 2013 NFL draft

We need a pass rush with the 30th pick in the draft!!!!!!! Sam Montgomery from LSU, or the DE from Oregon. There are too many RB's that we could get in the 3rd round for us to draft a RB with the 30th pick. Do you remember our lack of pass rush?? Monte Ball will be available (which IMO, would compliment rogers well) 2nd round draft pick should be a LB who could cover TE. Then think about RB, TE, DT, Safety depth and finally OL K/R. If we could get Rambo from UGA in the 4th or 5th round it would be great. Or even DJ Swearenger (sp) from SC who is a hard hitter that could sit a couple of years behind Moore and Decoud and be NFL ready by his 3rd year.
