The Ditch

Tootoo reminds me of Odgers, he'll go with anyone(and you have to give him credit for that) but he rarely wins which at 5'9 is to be expected. Parros wouldve done a much much better job in that capacity but who am I to criticize our lack of moves.

Based on how little he's playing I don't know why Holland signed Tootoo to a 3 year deal for 5.7 million dollars.   If you're going to commit that much money to somebody you'd think he would see the ice for more then an average of 8 minutes a game.  Doesn't make one ounce of sense to me for a GM to spend that kind of money for so little ice time.

And yeah, if toughness is all Holland was looking for then Parros would have made more sense.  Tootoo is a much better hockey player then Parros is, I mean Tootoo had almost as many points last season as Parros has in over 400 NHL games.   But Parros at 2 years and 940,000 per season is much better value then Tootoo's deal for 5.7 million over 3 years.  Parros plays 6 minutes a game, just 2 minutes less then Tootoo so if I had a choice I choose the guy who's going to cost me 4 million dollars less in the long run.
