Did anyone see the game? Sensarmy? etc..? |

alf, breaking the plane is a football thing. in hockey, the puck must cross the goal line completely. there has to be white visible between the puck and the line, if the puck's still touching the line at all, even just a tiny bit, it's not a goal yet.

Dangnabbitt 1-0 oh wellI watched it and was wondering where all the so called Hockey fan, you know those that live in Canada, were at on the chat. All I saw was Hurricane fans chatting about the game.It was a great game. Both Goalies made some outstanding saves, The Goal by Staal was nice and Crawford didn't have a chance. A hard shot by Semin that Eric Staal deflected up right in front of the crease with Tlusky screening Crawford. Crawford never saw the puck change directions until it was past him. A lot of up and down action with good clean hitting. The Hurricanes did an awesome job on a 4 minute penalty kill and they kept Karlson under wraps all night. I think he got one clean shot at the net the whole game, without a Canes player in front of him blocking the shot. Thought the Canes were going to blow it there in the 3rd for a while, but Ellis made some very challenging saves and got his shutout. On to Philly tonight starting the Hurricanes 6 game 12 day road trip. We will see the Sens again on Wednesday and hope so see some Sens fans on the chat board. |

good analysis mikey. thought carolina was better in the first, the 2nd was a wash, and ottawa was better in the 3rd. both goalies stood on their heads.
sens goalie is anderson though, not crawford. you should remember it, it will be written on the vezina this year. lol ![]() as for the chat boards, i can't be bothered while the game is one. would much rather watch, and then discuss after. |

Sens, I have Anderson in 2 fantasy leagues, don't know why I said crawford.
I am in one league where we picked a team from the east, one from the west and one other team on Yahoo. My 3 teams are Carolina and Ottawa from the East and Nashville from the west. you use 4 centers, LW, RW 6 D men and 3 goalies. It's a lot of fun as those teams are the only players you can use. |

alf, if you want to talk about the sens getting prison franked, you should have been talking about the game against the habs yesterday.
ottawa scored the tying goal in the 3rd. silfverberg was standing about 3-4 feet outside the crease, screening price. price skated out, pushed silfverberg with his blocker pretty much right before the puck went in. not only did the ref waive off the goal, but he called silfverberg for goalie interference. the refs stole atleast 1 point away from the sens yesterday, it was a friggin disgrace. |

Sensarmy, the same sort of thing happend Saturday in the Carolina/Philly game, A hurricane was pushed into the goalie and they called the Cane's player for goalie interference. Eric Staal went ballistic over the call. |

the sens got....HOSEDFebruary 4, 2013 9:03 am
this one was worse. silfverberg wasn't pushed into price. he had his back turned to the goalie, and the goalie pushed him. it was, other than that BRUTAL call in teh det/stl game for the head shot, the worst call i've seen all season. i'd post a clip from youtube so you could see it, but i can't access youtube from my work computer. the leauge needs to put in a review on all scoring plays, no matter what, similar to the NFL. the sens got screwed out of atleast 1 point yesterday, and in a 48 game season, that COULD be a make or break point. i'm sick of refs deciding games, it's getting ridiculous. |

That interference call against Silfverberg that cost them the tying goal was a disgrace. If the Sens don't do something (ie. Murray should send the video to the league and ask them to explain how that is interference) then this crap will continue. It's the same story every year, the Sens seem to get hosed every year by the officiating. I would bet that every year they get the least amount of power-plays and yet are on the penalty kill more than any other team. I know I'm biased, but it just seems this way year in year out.
Here is the youtube clip from that awful call from yesterday: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKRjGUX-lRM |

skins....the last 2 seasons (and i'm pretty sure it's continuing this season) the sens have had the worst or 2nd worst PP to PK ratio. they get way more called against them then for them, it's pretty bad. and you'd think, with a team that plays the puck possession style of game that ottawa does, and does effectively, they would get way more calls.
last night though was a special kind of awful |

the sens got....HOSEDFebruary 4, 2013 10:02 am
the sens have had the worst or 2nd worst PP to PK ratio.Given the roster last year this was predictable going into the year. Full of young players that don't know how to position in a way to draw more penalties and a bunch of abrasive types (Neil, Foligno, Smith, and Carkner for example) and idiots like Konopka that have a history of taking lots of penalties for lots of reasons. That ratio falls on the gm more than the players or coaches, and I think they knew it before the year began. Once there are fewer shifts given to those types and once the younger players are a little more experienced, you'll see a drastic shift in that ratio. About that penalty, that call and the CLB goal that was waived off were absolutely terrible calls. I hope it evens out for the Sens. That goal should have been good, hate to see blown calls like that. |

haha, kinik, about 96% of your posts involve whining about something. your team got gifted 2 points, enjoy it. if you can't admit that the sens got prison franked on that call, directly costing them atleast a point, then you're even more of a bias homer than i thought.

That call was no worse than the hosing Montreal took in the 1st period when Plekanec was called for goaltending interference and Ottawa scored on the power play. I didn't whine on here like you are. Stuff it.

-
the sens got....HOSEDFebruary 5, 2013 8:38 am
really?
the call when plekanec actually skated into the goalie, without making any attempt to stop or avoid the collision (even though it wasn't that hard), was as bad as the call where the ottawa player didn't even touch the goalie, and the tying goal was waived off as a result. man, your homerism is gettting worse dude, you should see a doctor. |

Montreal's first Stanley Cup challenge was played against the [Ottawa Hockey Club] on March 2, 1904, resulting in a 5–5 tie game. Montreal would refuse to [continue] the series unless the tie was replayed in Montreal, and forfeited the series..............
and the final's final result's were Sensarmy-WINNER Montreal QUITTER |
