Top 5 Overrated Top 5 Underrated

Big 10, Big East, ACC, PAC 12 all better than the MWC. People see a conference like that have a few teams in the top 25 and then exaggerate things quite a bit. New Mexico, UNLV, San Diego State...they're middle of the pack teams in the Big 10.

PAC12 and ACC aren't better than the MWC THIS year HDawg.  Both the Big East and the Big 10 are the best two conference by a pretty significant margin.  (I will throw out that New Mexico is 2-0 vs the Big East this year.  Cincy and UConn)  The MWC is a solid third best in the country.  A stretch would be to claim that the Big12, PAC12 and ACC are as good as the MWC.  (NOTE:  This is mostly because the MWC is small (9 temas) and isn't weighed down by the bottom part of the big conferences (12 teams).  In pure terms of statistics, the MWC has the advantage with 7 of 9 teams will no more than 6 losses.  Only one team has a losing record.  Four of the nine have 4 or fewer losses.  

With that said, I think you may be right about New Mexico, UNLV, and SDSU...they're probably middle of the pack with Illinois, Iowa, and Purdue in the B10, not at the top for sure...who knows?  Maybe one of the three....At the same time, this year could be a breakout year for the MWC.  We'll see come tourney time.
